It's way more fun to be part of a team that is willing to look at mistakes as outcomes and learn from them instead of blaming their coworker/customer and sweeping them under the carpet. The fixed mindset isn't able to tolerate mistakes because it's too big of a hit on the ego. Just recognizing this mindset in me when it comes out has been huge in the way I'm able to relate to people and lead!
Currently working with a team through some Thematic Goal work, and while there was opportunity to build trust well ahead of that, it's been amazing to see how much closer and effective they become as they work through their current thematic goal. GREAT stuff!
We should embrace healthy conflict in our organizations. That is where high velocity progress can happen.
So much easier said than done, but critical for sustainable success.
