Those who say diamonds are a girls best friend... Are bang on the money! We bloody love them! But, show me a girl who doesn't also love a night in with a pizza- we're nothing if not adaptable! I know I love both equally and in a way I think our diamond CIPS training package is actually quite a lot like pizza... 1- Both have the remarkable ability to foster a supportive and collaborative environment 🤍 2- Have a slice of knowledge, topped with interactive virtual lessons 3- Just like choosing our favourite toppings on a pizza, students have a voice and be given choices in their learning journey 4- And just as the combination of different toppings on a pizza creates a harmonious and flavoursome experience, 5- You'll have access to a veritable buffet of resources. Visit https://lnkd.in/ehmB8Amu and explore the Diamond Package. Or read more diamond/pizza comparisons on the blog. Remember, knowledge is best enjoyed when shared, just like pizza.

240510 – I was watching a show about a famous baker. Having a well established bakery, the baker’s son wanted to follow in the baker’s footsteps. And the fight between the baker and his son was, whether to send the son to college. The son’s contention was, he could just learn the ropes from everyone in the bakery, and continue his father’s legacy. University was unnecessary, for now. The baker’s intention was, for the son to get some formal education, which the baker did not have, so his son could be even better, than him. His son could learn things, from his university education, that could help the bakery, without realising. We have been through this, as a child, and as a parent. When we were younger, our parents would tell us to study hard. Not matter how much we disliked studying, our parents forced us to go through it. We were made to believe that education was the cure-all pill that we need to take, to make our lives “much easier,” when we go to work. Then when we become parents, we realise that education does little in our career success. We feel a little cheated. But yet, we do the same, to encourage our children, to take the cure-all education pill. In fact, due to the competition, we are even more hands-on, intervene even more, pressure our children even more intensely, all in the name of giving them “a competitive edge.” We feel that, in the worst case, formal education can be a safety net, for our children’s career, and future. So, are we on the baker’s side, or are we on the baker’s son’s side? With an established bakery, will education benefit the baker’s son, to run the bakery better? Or should the baker’s son learn the baking skills now, since he has the interest, and re-prioritise his education for later? When we decide for others, do we have a different set of motivations, from when we are deciding for ourselves? Had we had a chance, to decide for ourselves, would we still go for the education that we did? Would we have decided differently? When deciding for our children, how differently have we decided? Education will benefit us. But how will it benefit us, maybe it is better for us to have the question, before pursuing the education, to answer that question. => formal education, or experience, which is more useful? => does education give us an advantage? => what is the purpose of formal education? => know the question, then education can help to answer it #experience #formaleducation #cureallpill #safetynet #priority #parents #children #differentcriterion #purpose #careertips #personalmastery #careermanagement #careermastery #personaldevelopment #personaleffectiveness

The college football bowl season is packed with action, but did you know these games can also inspire your bar prep? Here's a sneak peek at two food-themed bowl games and the bar prep lessons they bring: 🏈 Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl 🏈 Tip: Bring the energy. Start your study sessions with a positive affirmation: "I’m grrreat!" This boosts confidence and sets a productive tone. Pair this positivity with timed practice exams to build endurance and simulate test conditions, enhancing your readiness for exam day. Bar Prep Food Pairing: Enjoy a bowl of Frosted Flakes topped with sliced bananas to provide a quick energy boost during your morning study routine. 🏈 Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl 🏈 Tip: Consistency is key. Establish a regular study schedule, setting specific times each day dedicated to different subjects. Consistency helps build discipline and ensures comprehensive coverage of material. Additionally, allow yourself a rest day each week to recharge, similar to Chick-fil-A's practice of closing on Sundays. Bar Prep Food Pairing: Treat yourself to a side of Chick-fil-A waffle fries with their signature Chick-fil-A sauce for a perfectly crispy and flavorful reward after completing a challenging practice test. Let’s tackle bar prep together—one food (and one bowl game) at a time! 👇 Check out the remaining six games and more study tips in my latest blog post. 👇 https://lnkd.in/graWsX4Z #barexam #barprep #barexamprep #lawschool #barexamtips #lawexams #lawstudents

Another monday morning Another new week The month of July is gradually wrapping up, what did you achieve this july?🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️ Too many objectives but no fulfillment 😪 Do you have a to-do list?? This is a simple but effective tool used to prioritize tasks and activities that needs to be done and completed within a time frame. It entails putting down these tasks or activities in a written form or a typed document on your phone or computer, remember Habakuk 2:2, right?? “And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it” You may have lots and lots of things to do for yourself academically, personally or professionally, all of these are just in your head and will confuse you the more, but the moment you write them down according to level of importance and deadlines, you will be moved tp work towards it. So what I do is, I write all I need to do daily/weekly, and mark them “done” as I get any task completed. PS: My to-do list for the year has two tasks done and some at the verge of completion 😉 Will you start writing a to-do list for yourself now?? Here’s to a week filled with fulfilling achievements and activities, your week is fruitful in Jesus name, Amen!! #Foodtechnologist #Foodandbeverage
