I attended an event hosted by the Nigerian Communication Commission with support of International Telecommunication Union, and the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, to launch the report titled "Collaborative Regulation: Accelerating Nigeria’s Digital Transformation." Hearing that Nigeria is at the forefront of ICT readiness, ranking at the 5th generation and on the verge of leading the continent, was heartening. Such studies highlight that through concerted efforts and collaboration among ministries, departments, agencies, the private sector, and academia, significant progress can be achieved. We all have a role in ensuring sustainable digital transformation. I emphasize the importance of involving subnational entities to understand the urgency of prioritizing digitization. While some states are already taking the lead, it is essential for this effort to reach the grassroots level. The federal government has played its part in policy development, but states need to review, domesticate, and implement these policies effectively. #digitaltransformation #itu #internationaltelecommunicationunion #fcdo #ukinnigeria #ncc
