Turfgrass 🌱 Turfgrass refers to any grass species used in creating anf maintaining lawns, parks, sports grounds, and other recreational areas. 🏌♂️ 🌳 ⚽ 🌻 Envirom has developed the #biofertilizer Turf & Green for optimal growth and maintainance of sports and leisure turfs. This liquid blend contains natural minerals and agents that restore the balance in the soil by increasing its microbial activity. The increase in biological life results in healthier grass growth and a stronger root development. Envirom Turf & Green has developed a unique reputation in the golf course industry for its flexibility and effectiveness and is the preferred choice of many professional turf managers. The Norwegian Institute of Bioeconomy Research (NIBIO) has conducted a series of scientific trials of the effect of Turf & Green on golf turfs and lawns. The results included increased grass density, faster growth rate, reduced fungal damage, improved water efficiency, and reduced built- up of thatch #turfmananagers #greengrass #golf

!!! PLEASE DON'T CARVE THE HEART OUT OF BIGWIND !!! Tell Ontario by May 4th @ https://lnkd.in/ggrU6sRX The Ontario government is proposing to operationalize Bigwind Lake Provincial Park in Bracebridge, putting numerous at-risk species and sensitive habitats in grave danger. The proposed infrastructure includes 250 campsites, paved roads, maintenance facilities, food services, and associated hydro lines and sewer systems that will imperil and undermine the ecological integrity of the already small and peaceful park. Bigwind Lake Provincial Park is a natural environment class park. Natural environment class parks are meant to protect recreational landscapes, representative ecosystems and provincially significant elements of Ontario’s natural and cultural heritage and "provide high-quality outdoor recreational and educational experiences." Currently, Bigwind provides low-impact recreational opportunities to hike, canoe, and fish, while protecting the habitat of 14 species at risk (8 of special concern, 3 threatened, and 3 endangered). Bigwind is dominated by mature (100- to 130-year-old) Sugar Maple, Yellow Birch, American Beech, Eastern Hemlock and Eastern White Pine, that provide a home to a rich diversity of flora and fauna existing beneath its canopy. Critically, this habitat provides refuge to the threatened Algonquin Wolf, who had been brought to a point of extinction on account of historical hunting and trapping. Extensive wetland habitat also creates a challenge for cataloguing a large number of the plant species expected to be present in the park, which speaks to Ontario's admission that there is a shortage of information on species. The proposal itself states that there is potential for increased road mortality, habitat loss and fragmentation, increased light and noise pollution, and wildlife habituation, which is the the loss of a natural fear of humans. These "potential" pressures make no progress in reaching the 30x30 plan to protect at least 30% of terrestrial and marine areas by 2030. The deadline for public comments is Saturday, May 4th. Please consider using your voice and sharing this information to help protect our family on this planet.
