Wind projects wait an average of 3.33 years, while solar projects make up over 40% of the queue. Shortening wait times for #renewableenergy projects is crucial for speeding up our move to a low-carbon future!

Delivering net zero will require an economic and societal transformation not seen since the Industrial Revolution.  Britain needs a decade of electrification – but we’re off track. Currently, the UK will not meet targets for renewable power, electric-vehicle charging, heat pumps or wind generation until years after the target dates. The UK government must work with industry to accelerate innovation in clean energy while maintaining energy security, delivering continued growth and protecting the value of personal choice. Grid modernization is a major challenge for all utilities worldwide. Why? We have to accept that our society is facing a major transition from fossil fuels to renewable energies. This requires major investment in electric grid infrastructure to manage this transition. If utilities do not invest, we will not be able to achieve our global carbon footprint.
