I’m offering to help you with your Art. Supporting other artists with their work has always been a part of my practice. I know what it's like to make work and what it takes. Now I am making my help available to whoever wants it. Here are some of the ways I have helped people with their Art; Script editing for film Dramaturgy for playwrighting and theatre-making How to get started on an idea How to get over a slump Dealing with some kind of art-related crisis - internal or external (although there really is no such thing as an art emergency, artists are humans who have crisis while they make art, or I certainly am anyway.) What the fuck am I doing? Why do I make art? I have always wanted to write. Writing Arts Council / City Council funding applications and getting money. (sometimes for the first time after years of rejections) How to stay motivated as an actor between auditions. Is this self tape good enough? I want to work with ‘communities’ I want to write about Your Art in a book, paper, article something to do with college Writing a budget Refreshing your references How to SELL TICKETS Looking at the ecology of your practice Art related Sanity and Insanity - from personal experience (some may call this ‘self care’) What would you do if you weren’t afraid Publicity and Public Speaking for Artists Collaboration, Ethics, working with vulnerable adults Can we plan my years work using the Celtic Calendar? Can I get out of this contract? Why am I not writing what I want to be writing? HOW TO HAVE IDEAS Jealousy Just read that and tell me if its good. Owning your power Being a Leader (even if you don’t want to be) Organising, mobilising and doing nothing. My references, inspirations and methods include sacred geometry, the artists way, designing your life, the IRA green book, freytag diagram, post its, palo santo, sage, Celtic calendar, 12 steps, Tupac, Hollywood, desperate optimists, forced entertainment, zen conflict resolution, nature, balance, power, harmony and shamanic protection, the enneagram and the work by byron katie. If any of that interests you, book a place and lets get to work. I worked with Grace when I was developing a new play. She is a great listener and very intuitive. Over the few days we spent together she helped me to pull my ideas from conception to the page. I’d recommend her to anyone, whether you are starting out or at an advanced stage, for her patience and good natured approach to working on creative tasks. - Lesley Conroy Grace is an artist and coach of remarkable insight and skills. She brings her experience, intuition and creativity into the room in helping you realise what you did not recognise about your own work and practice. And she does it with kindness and joy. - Dan Colley https://lnkd.in/eH_x-495

According to research, "the impact of crafting was bigger than the impact of being in employment. Not only does crafting give us a sense of achievement, it is also a meaningful route to self-expression. This is not always the case with employment". https://lnkd.in/gfrnaG5R This article made me reflect on the duality of human nature: our desire for both belonging and individuality. As social creatures, we crave connection and community. Yet, beneath the layers we construct to conform to societal expectations, there lies a unique core. This article got me thinking about identity. In an era dominated by conformity and mass consumption, it's imperative to embrace our individuality and the elements that shape our identity. I believe it's time to celebrate our differences, to question our choices and motivations, and to cultivate curiosity. Let's prioritize originality over homogeneity. If you, like me, tend to generate more questions than answers, I encourage you to read this article and take some time for reflection. It will undoubtedly be a worthwhile investment of your time :-)

This week’s book recommendation is ‘The Artist's Way: A Spiritual Path to Higher Creativity’ by Julia Cameron. Feeling drawn to artistic expression but held back by doubts or routine? ‘The Artist's Way’ offers a refreshing perspective, reminding us that creativity is natural and waiting to be embraced. Think back to when you last felt that urge to create. Can't remember? You're not alone. Many of us let go of our artistic aspirations, convinced we lack talent or time. But Cameron's approach guides you through a twelve-week journey of self-discovery and creative exploration, uncovering your innate creativity. If you're ready to break free from self-doubt and tap into your artistic potential, this book is your guide.

#ArtTherapy's impact on #MentalHealth may rival that associated with #employment. I imagine this is even more true when considering #jobs that lack #meaning, #purpose, and #selfdetermination. I find #TactileDesign in the form of #CreatingArt or #Crafting to be incredibly important in my personal and professional life, whether unplugging from the day-to-day or (especially) when working through a #design problem for a client, when seeking a different perspective/positionality in my #research, or when #teaching #DesignThinking #engineering or #architecture students in #transdisciplinary environments. Taking time to value the #process assists in working through our own understanding while also enabling us to experience #joy and #connection along the way. This #intentionality is key because, as we know, it's not only about the #destination in #WellbeingScience, it's especially about the #journey when aiming for #flourishing. #FlourishingByDesign #ThrivingByDesign #CraftingABetterLife #TactileDesignMethods #FlourishingHealth #Wellbeing #HealthAndWellbeing

Categorically I'm a comms + marketing executive, novelist, and artist. I'm a hybrid professional: I have multiple career frames in which I connect people, places and ideas and activate them to drive impact.
5dIt’s an honor to share these ideas with such accomplished corporate leaders!
