Coding has always been more than a technical skill for me, it is a way of thinking. It’s about learning how to solve problems, understand patterns, and think logically. As we see a shift around us, it’s high time we look into how we train our future generation. For kids, this is an exciting time to dive into coding because it’s no longer just about writing lines of code; it’s about working with intelligent systems that can learn and adapt. So, how can we help kids start their coding journey in this new world? 1️⃣ Focus on Problem-Solving: Coding isn’t just about technology—it’s about teaching kids how to break down complex challenges and solve them step by step. This skill is crucial, especially when working with AI, where logical thinking is key. 2️⃣ Start Simple: Platforms like Scratch and Blockly make coding fun and accessible. 3️⃣ Incorporate AI Early: AI isn’t just for advanced developers anymore. Kids can begin learning how to train simple AI models to recognize images or text, making coding more interactive and relevant. Remember, coding is no longer just a skill for developers. It’s becoming a foundation for how we understand and interact with the world around us. By teaching kids to code, we’re not just preparing them for future jobs; we’re helping them become better problem-solvers, logical thinkers, and creators in a world shaped by AI. What are your thoughts on how we should approach coding education for kids today? Let’s discuss! #CodingForKids #AIinEducation #FutureSkills #ProblemSolving #LogicalThinking #STEMEducation #TechForKids #AI #EdTech #21stCenturySkills #FutureOfWork

𝗧𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 #𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘂𝗱𝗲 𝗮𝘀 𝗺𝘆 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁: - Hallucinations are still abundant - Look forward to it having access to up-to-date documentation - Noticeable step up from it's competitors 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴: 𝗞𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗻𝘀: Absolutely fantastic tool when you know what you want, how the solution should look, and it's obvious to spot mistakes. Ideal tasks are things like unit tests for pure functions, or repetetive tasks too complicated for a macro and too cumbersome to do manually. 𝗞𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝘂𝗻𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗻𝘀: Surprsingly a good teacher. I noticed myself using PerplexityAI to get summaries of Reddit posts and StackOverflow answers and ask Claude to explain them to me. In my experience, the hallucinations weren't as prominent when asking larger, conceptual questions although asking it to apply the concepts to a specific problem were a bit hit or miss. 𝗨𝗻𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗻𝘀: Turns out, explaining code to an AI is like trying to teach a fish to climb a tree - you suddenly realize how much you take for granted about land. It's a crash course in self-awareness, forcing you to articulate the 'why' behind every 'what' in your code. Use your AI friend as a rubber-duck before bothering your colleagues! 𝗨𝗻𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝘂𝗻𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗻𝘀: Hallucinations make it very hard to trust Claude on things you don't know. Bit like trusting Dory to get you P Sherman. Wallaby Way 42, hold on tight because you're going to go on a bit of an adventure. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗼𝗺 𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲: Claude as a coding assistant is like a brilliant intern with a bad case of amnesia. It can turbocharge your productivity on familiar tasks, but might lead you on wild goose chases in uncharted territory. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲?
