A sales personnel deserves the same probation and onboarding process as an average employee!!!!!!!!!!!!😤😤😤😤😤😤 Dear HR department, be courageous enough to say no to management when you're being coerced to disturb a sales person about making sales less than 2 weeks after joining your organization. There's nothing ethical about it, it is unfair and it creates mental anxiety for them. 😩😩😩😩😩 Have you wondered why there's a high turnover of sales personnel, this is because they are poorly treated in most organization. They are given little resources/ trainings and still expected to take the company to dangote's revenue assets. Equipping sales personnel isn't about giving contact card, address, dairy, pen and say "enter the market" You need to train them on services, on company's vision, on communication and business strategies etc. Be open to their failures within the first months, be encouraging, be empathic. A meeting with the Hr shouldn't be a query sentence, you should serve as a counsel. put some metrics in place to check their performance, this way, letting a sales person go would mean they do not align with these metrics set for their performance and not just because they haven't made sales within their first weeks. Remember, one sales can cover a full year's target. On the other hand because a sales person brings in money doesn't make them alpha and omega in an organisation.
