One of the main challenges in getting inspiration from brilliant outliers is that they are just that: Outliers. Before deciding to become radical in your strategic choices as an outlier, just consider the risks: Chances of success are very small - again that is why they are outliers and not the norm. Not saying that should keep you from making radical choices in strategy, innovation, product development or something else. Just that you should consider the risks and assess your opportunity with wide open eyes. #startup #founder #strategy #innovation https://lnkd.in/djFnB-u3

Having the courage to try a new approach to a painful problem is rare. How do you make it easier to experiment with "strange" practices at work? Or as Noam Wakrat puts it: "The ability to adopt external solutions is vital for organizations aspiring to grow and innovate. Large companies often acquire innovative startups to integrate (or sometimes eliminate) new solutions within their existing frameworks. The challenge arises when the entity that acquires the innovation is not the one responsible for its implementation. This phase involves psychological hurdles — overcoming existing paradigms and allowing external innovations to take root. In simpler terms, it involves a lot of egos." https://lnkd.in/dVe3QHbd
