Levita Magnetics and Intuitive have combined to achieve a milestone in surgical innovation, completing the first procedure using a dual-robot system. This advancement combines Levita’s Magnetic-Assisted #RoboticSurgery (MARS) technology with Intuitive's Da Vinci system, marking a significant step forward in robotic collaboration. Levita’s MARS technology utilizes magnetic fields to maneuver instruments within the body, reducing the need for incisions and enhancing surgical precision. Paired with the da Vinci system, known for its capabilities in advanced, minimally invasive procedures, the two robots worked in harmony to execute a complex surgical task. This dual-robot approach expands the possibilities for coordinated, multi-system procedures, opening doors to more sophisticated surgeries with reduced patient impact. This milestone isn’t just about technological integration; it’s about redefining the future of surgical care. By leveraging complementary strengths, the collaboration between these systems showcases the immense potential of robotic teamwork in the operating room. At Cubiq, we’re representing top-tier candidates with deep expertise in surgical robotics, multi-robot systems, and advanced medical technologies. If you’re building the next wave of innovation in healthcare, let’s connect!

I like this conversation that Steve Bell posted this morning. Johnson & Johnson, Medtronic, Olympus Corporation and Stryker are in a situation where a series of decisions will need to be made and owned as the early days of digitally enabled minimally invasive surgery has presented clear choices. We are at a point where being remembered for what a leader did not do will be more challenging for what they did do. While we both continue to include Distalmotion and Moon Surgical in the same sentence often, it should primarily be by association of timing through FDA, nearly ready to commercialize status, stack & scope agnostic, and after both of them, the vintage-ready platforms start to disappear leaving a 5+ year gap between the "haves" and "have nots". They provide different solutions. Both required. Distalmotion represents a breakthrough in wristed, robotic, minimally invasive open architecture systems for ASC's, Out Patient and even in hospital mid to high acuity cases. Moon Surgical represents the massive opportunity in Lap 2.0 and an unlock for new devices to be developed as well as a path forward for a Medtronic or Johnson & Johnson to leverage their minimally invasive business and not be left empty handed. Great thinking Steve.

😲 What on earth are Stryker going to do now in Soft Tissue Surgical robotics? As Joe Mullings said it's "The power of the tower"... and I see the 1788 under direct assault by the da Vinci 5 tower and fast following Medtronic Hugo RAS tower. Read my in-depth analysis here now ! https://lnkd.in/dmzzabdz Not to mention when #ottava hits with the Johnson & Johnson MedTech tower offering. As more robots hit their all important #ASC market - I foresee #stryker under immense pressure. It's started - many hospital systems are buying extra #DV5 towers to replace their #laparoscopic towers - so the erosion is real. What options do they now have? #moonsurgical #dexter #distalmotion #mira #versius and other #surgicalrobots #mako #orthopaedics #surgery #generalsurgery
