Three words every team loves to hear. But getting there? That’s the real journey. Multiple client stakeholders, legal reviews, design tweaks and account team input. A mix of patience, persistence, and teamwork is required. Every “yes” reflects countless hours and aligned ideas. And when approval finally lands, it’s validation of everyone’s work. 👉 How about pausing more often to celebrate? - Show gratitude - High-fives all around - Take a moment to let it sink in Imagine if every project wrapped up with celebration. A team growing stronger, project by project. Celebrating wins recognises everyone’s role, building momentum for what’s next. So, don’t rush straight into the next project. Take a moment. Thank the team, reflect and celebrate the journey. Because when a client says “Everything is approved,” You’ve earned it. 💪 How do you celebrate wins, approvals, new clients, new employees, general positive things happening within your business?

Have you ever felt like you're rowing in opposite directions despite being in the same boat? Unfortunately, this is too common on many teams. Diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and, most critically, values can create this situation. But having a shared set of values isn't just nice to have; it’s the glue that holds everything together. Being a part of a team where trust is practiced, where integrity isn't an afterthought but the first thought, is special. It’s not about agreeing on everything; far from it. But finding common ground on the fundamental principles that drive every decision, action, and interaction within the team. How often do we check if we're aligned on our core values? Or better yet, do we even know what our collective values are? Let's not assume we're all on the same page; let's ensure we are. Have you ever experienced a disconnect in team values? How did you navigate it?

Whether you’re a life care planner, legal nurse consultant, business owner, or attorney, there’s no room for ego in this line of work. We’ve all worked hard to build our expertise, but letting pride drive the process? That’s when judgment gets cloudy, collaboration breaks down, and outcomes suffer. Every case, every report, and every client interaction demands focus, humility, and objectivity. Being open to feedback, learning from peers, and prioritizing the client’s needs is what leads to success. It’s not about proving how much you know; it’s about serving with excellence. In the end, your work will always do the talking. Let’s make sure it says exactly what it needs to.

Often in our work, we must determine what matters to us and that doesn’t have to be one thing. One of the things that I have prioritised is that I wanted to be the best person my colleagues would work with. If they were having a bad day, it wouldn’t be because we are working together and if they were having a great day, it most likely would be because we are working together. Now this can be hard to measure. But in many instances, I’ve had colleagues acknowledge how great it is working with me. From comments like “I feel most comfortable to share this with you” to “You are the best ambassador for the team.” As we marked the end of the FY in June, I went on my Applause wall (an unofficial way to say thank you to colleagues) and saw that without soliciting it, 11 colleagues over the FY have gifted me £210 accompanied by some of the most heartwarming messages. Despite my goal being a difficult one to measure, these 11 colleagues provided the perfect opportunity for me to assess my goal and their message was consistent; they had a great time because of our work together. And the thought of that continues to energise me. How can you be the best to work with? 1. Respect other's time - often, when it has to do with completing a piece of work that someone else’s rely on, I don’t postpone until tomorrow what can be done today. 2. Contribute your skill - it was Vusi who said “If you want to step up in your corporate career, consider volunteering your time for tasks that align with the business mission, even if they don't directly impact your KPIs.” I would add that sometimes you should also do things that help someone else even if they don’t align with your goals (if you have the time). 3. Take feedback gracefully - be more appreciative of those who demand the best from you and don’t make them feel uncomfortable to provide you feedback. 4. Make yourself easy to manage - often, those who are responsible for managing a work that you are part of are having a difficult time already. Do all you can not to add to that. That could mean giving them timely updates (without them asking), self-auditing your work before you share etc. That would be all on this.

🎉 Celebrating Milestones and the Unsung Heroes Behind Them 🎂 Last Sunday was a big day for our Church. Looking at this picture with the cake, I think about the journey that brought us here. Achieving milestones isn't just about the big moments. It's also about the hard work and careful planning that happen behind the scenes. Our recent success wouldn't have been possible without the dedicated efforts of the administrative team. They played a crucial role in organizing every detail that led to this achievement. From managing logistics to ensuring clear communication, their organizational skills and attention to detail kept everything running smoothly. The work behind the scenes often goes unnoticed but is vital to the team's success. The picture with the cake is more than just a celebration. It symbolizes teamwork and perseverance, reflecting our collaborative workplace culture. Thinking about this milestone, I'm reminded of how important it is to acknowledge and appreciate every team member's efforts. Their contributions are priceless and deserve recognition. Think success is 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 about hard work? 🤔   (It’s also about how you celebrate it) 🥳💃🥂   We know that our recent achievements and milestones at Cleancorp are the direct result of team's dedication and relentless effort.    So, what did we do?  We stepped away from our desks and came together for a beautiful work lunch at Sails on Lavender Bay.   But it felt like anything but ‘work’.    Here's the thing: When your workplace genuinely feels like a family, well... work doesn't feel like "work".   We know the word 'family' gets thrown around a lot in corporate settings.    And let’s be honest… 'family' is often used to label team unity without actually putting in the work to create real connections. But when you celebrate each other, share stories, and build stronger connections,    It doesn’t feel like a work event – it feels like a gathering of friends.   So, here’s what last Friday reminded us of:   👉 That we win together as a team.   👉 We absolutely own it, day in and day out, when it comes to work  👉 Our leadership is collaborative, rather than from the top down We cherish these opportunities to come together to not only highlight, but most of all, celebrate the people we "win together" with.

Basically – she does it all. If you know BP, you know: ✅ Accuracy is her thing. I don't know anyone who can cross t's and dot i's like Brittany. 🧡 She loves sports. Back before my knee started acting like it was 200 years old, we would play basketball. She's a complete badass at almost anything involving lifting weights or sports. 🚫 She loves being a part of a team and doesn't love "me" players. One thing I've come to appreciate about Brittany is that she's the ultimate team player. As long as you're on HER team... I don't recommend being on a sports/court opposite her! Without BP, the trains would fall off the tracks. Literally. 🚂 🛤 💥 There are never enough opportunities to recognize our incredible team members for the indispensable work they do. So far in my experience of working at dunkin, I have learned that having a good crew that works well together is more important then working with your friends. I have learned that to get something done fast and easy you need to be able to work well with everyone at your company. I have also learned great communication skills and how to handle situations without adding more conflict. I know how to work fast during rushes. Working with friends was something I thought would be fun but when it comes to getting the work done you need to be able to do the work that needs to be done and not talk. I’ve learned that I can talk and work but mainly just try and get the work done fast and easy. #CherokeeWBL #GeorgiaWBLWorks

After saying goodbye to Betty's Burgers last December, I can't help but reflect on the invaluable skills and experiences gained during my time there. 🍔 Working at Betty's wasn't just about taking orders; it was a transformative journey that shaped me both personally and professionally. 💪 While my role in the restaurant may not directly correlate with my current professional path, the soft skills I cultivated are invaluable assets that transcend any specific job title. 📈 Teamwork became ingrained in every aspect of our operation.
