An Important Part of Raising Successful Children? Teaching Responsibility. As the saying goes, "The greatest gift you can give your children are the roots of responsibility and the wings of independence." As parents, we all want our children to grow into happy, successful adults. While there's no single formula, research highlights some common threads. Research shows that socially adept children who can cooperate, empathize, and resolve conflicts are more likely to attain higher education and stable employment as adults. One crucial factor is instilling a sense of responsibility from an early age. According to studies, involving kids in household chores and allowing them to take the lead on age-appropriate tasks helps build self-regulation, independence, and a strong work ethic. In summary, by fostering responsibility early on, we equip our kids with invaluable life skills for success. As the school year wraps up, I want to highlight the importance of appreciating our children's teachers. While school fees cover many aspects of education, the value of a simple "thank you" is immeasurable. During the recent Parent-Teacher Conferences, many kind words lifted my spirits. However, some comments were less encouraging. Teachers pour their hearts into their work, often going above and beyond for their students. Acknowledgment, even through a few kind words, can make a significant difference. Appreciation doesn’t have to be about gifts; it can be as simple as a heartfelt note or a few words recognizing a teacher’s hard work and positive influence. These gestures uplift teachers and create a positive school community. Let’s come together to show gratitude to the teachers who have been integral to our children’s growth this year. Your appreciation can make a world of difference. #Education #TeacherAppreciation #Gratitude #Parenting #SchoolCommunity Have a wonderful Summer Break! #Montessoriguide #Earlychildhoodeducation #Teachers

In our latest Virtual Workshop titled Rethinking Quality in Early Childhood Education: Learning From Diverse Funds of Knowledge of Immigrant Children, Families, and Educators, Dr. Sunny McDevitt helped participants explore the concept of Funds of Knowledge and how they could use that approach to support the early childhood programs they work with. Dr. McDevitt shared case studies from her own work that allowed participants to dig deeper into application. “The concept of funds of knowledge......is based on a simple premise: People are competent, they have knowledge, and their life experiences have given them that knowledge” (González et al. 2005, pp. ix) #earlychildhood #leadership #inspiration #innovation #rowanproud

On This Children’s Day,here are some key thoughts to share : Lets focus on nurturing a balanced and healthy environment for our kids. 1. Avoid Excessive Pressure: It’s important to support children’s learning without pressuring them to always be number one. Education should be about growth and understanding, not solely about grades. 2. Freedom & Flexibility: Children should enjoy their childhood. Allow them the flexibility to explore, play, and grow at their own pace, fostering their natural curiosity. 3. Teach Life Skills: Along with love and care, it’s essential to teach children basic life skills. This might include small tasks around the house, which helps them develop independence and responsibility. 4. Encourage Values & Kindness: Children learn from what they see. Set an example by showing kindness, teaching them to care for plants, and encouraging them to participate in tree plantation or other community activities. These experiences help build a sense of empathy and responsibility toward the environment. 5. Build Strong Foundations: The home is the first school, and parents are the first teachers. Use this time to instill positive values and life skills that will guide them throughout their lives. Let’s raise compassionate, capable, and grounded children by offering them love, guidance, and meaningful experiences. # Children’s Day # Entrepreneurship# Nurturing# Parenting # Betterment# Childhood

##CHILDREN## (happy children's day to all the amazing kids all over the world❤️❤️❤️) Children are young humans who are typically defined as individuals between the ages of birth and 18 years old. During their formative years, children undergo significant physical, intellectual, and emotional growth and development. They learn important life skills and develop talents and abilities that will last them a lifetime. Children require a nurturing environment that supports their physical, intellectual, and emotional development to thrive. This includes providing a safe and secure home environment, access to nutritious food and quality healthcare, and opportunities to learn and develop through play, education, and social interaction. It is important for parents, caregivers, and communities to invest in children's early development as it lays the foundation for their future success. This includes providing access to quality education, supportive social networks, and positive role models who can guide them through life's challenges and help them achieve their full potential. Overall, children represent the future of society, and investing in their well-being and development is essential for building strong, resilient, and prosperous communities.

While scrolling through my feed, I came across an image that made me pause and reflect. It got me thinking deeply—why do we need to uplift others and how can we do this better? Then, I was reminded of a simple truth: A candle loses nothing by lighting another candle. In special education, this resonates so strongly. Every time we support, guide, and nurture a child, we're helping them shine brighter without diminishing our own light. The more we uplift each other—students, educators, and families—the brighter the whole community becomes. Let’s continue to light the way for those who need it most. Together, we can create a more inclusive and empowered future. #inclusive#specialeducator#thoughtful#teamwork#team
