During Q3 2024, the Helix Q7000 successfully abandoned two exploration wells in the Bass Strait. Although these wells had previously been suspended, the existing cement plugs required milling with Coiled Tubing, and new barriers were installed. This process enabled the severing of the wellheads (pictured during operations) using an abrasive cutting tool, ensuring permanent abandonment of the wells and the restoration of the seabed to its original state. #HelixESG #HLX #ESG #offshore #oilandgas #energy #subsea #wellintervention
