We are thrilled to announce the publication of the White Paper from our recent roundtable on "Financial and Non-Financial Support for Startup Innovation in Climate Action." This paper encapsulates the key insights, challenges, and actionable recommendations shared during an engaging dialogue among startups, corporates, investors, government representatives, and ecosystem enablers. It reflects the collective effort to strengthen the climate-tech ecosystem and foster impactful innovation. I have mentioned Elateq before. Besides being able to do critical mineral (lithium) extraction, their electrochemistry method addresses some of the most pressing environmental challenges. I’m honored to have been selected as a jury member for the Semi-Final session of the ClimateLaunchpad Europe contest this week. Innovative startups from #Spain, #France, #Germany, #Netherlands, the #UK, and #Türkiye presented groundbreaking ideas aimed at creating a better, more #SustainableWorld🌍. Witnessing the energy and enthusiasm of these brilliant minds was truly inspiring💡! Some of the key areas of #innovation included #prosumers #aggregation, #GridResiliency, #GreenMobility, new #materials for #buildings and for #packaging, #EnergyStorage and #CO2 absorption. A few key takeaways that stood out to me: 1️⃣ #CO2 reduction is a priority for these startups, each offering unique solutions and technologies to tackle the issue: this mission clearly resonates with the #NextGeneration of changemakers🌱. 2️⃣ Every solution was deeply rooted in #CustomerNeeds, an approach that’s essential but often overlooked👏. 3️⃣ #Innovation and #sustainability are not just buzzwords—they’re being embraced as the pillars for creating impactful, disruptive solutions⚡. It was a privilege to be part of this jury alongside such esteemed professionals, including João Dias da Silva, Brooke Wachtel, Patricia Kroondijk.
