What is zero-party data? 🤔 According to a recent webinar featuring Sav Khetan from Tealium and Richard Morrow and Brian McIntosh from BlastX Consulting, zero-party data is voluntarily given by customers with the intention of personalizing their experience. Zero-party data must not be collected intrusively and the exchange needs to be seamlessly integrated into the customer's journey. This type of data builds on the trust and transparency between the business and it's customers. Most interestingly, the customers are HAPPY to share their personal information as long as there is a crystal-clear value exchange that enhances their user experience. With the decline in third-party cookies, integrating zero-party data into every business's consumer interactions is becoming increasingly important!
