The two-day " CareerConnect Expo" was a resounding success, with a great turnout and positive results from our survey of 300+ incoming talents and non-local students revealed that: 1. Participants' overall satisfaction about the expo is rated at 8.6 out of 10. 2. 95% of respondents are content with the exhibition's ambience and express revisit intention. 3. 90% of respondents believe that the expo can reinforce HK as an International Talent Hub. An interviewee from the North America highlighted Hong Kong's global perspective, facilitating seamless collaboration with individuals from diverse regions. Another interviewee noted that the Expo helped him gain a deeper understanding and access to more information. Additionally, a mainland graduate student believed that the Expo helped job seekers discover opportunities and resources in different industries, expressing a desire for Hong Kong to host more similar events.” Hong Kong Talent Engage will further enhance promotion globally of Hong Kong's dual role as an international talent hub and country's gateway for talent. Up in the clouds discussing skills with SHL connect event yesterday. It was great to connect with fellow heads of talent in the room. Key takeaway: define your problem statement first for effective skills assessment. Here are the main ways the skills agenda can be used highlighted by the speakers: - Broadening the talent pool by considering transferable skills. - Embracing inclusive talent management. - Focusing on skills development. - Enhancing career retention. Audience polls revealed a trend towards internal mobility within organizations rather than recruitment. Exciting insights shared at the event! I heard some really great examples on this for internal mobility. Has anyone else started on this journey?
