⓵ ⓶ ⓷ There are 3 grades of Ex inspection - visual, close and detailed. ⓷ Detailed inspections are carried out on completion of the installation, when it has been handed over by the installation contractor, and following the equipment being commissioned. It encompasses aspects covered in a close inspection but goes further by identifying defects such as loose terminations which are only apparent by opening up the item of equipment/enclosure or where necessary utilising tools and test equipment. As well as on an initial inspection basis, detailed inspections are carried out on a sample basis and require the disconnection of power. Today, under his strict 1-1 supervision for quality work, I finally tackled my first escalator modernization work and first logged in LEAP for submission as #SPE. Concurrent work activity and planning: Concurrent work may involve other concurrent permitted work activities or operational activities occurring during the permit period. The asset owner shall ensure that. concurrent work activities are taken into consideration. The asset owner is accountable via the permit issuer. Potential conflicts involving concurrent work activities include: ● Location – e.g., work on a scaffold immediately above another work party at ground level. ● Equipment/System – e.g., multiple activities on the same equipment system such as inspecting and cleaning a vessel. ● Activity – e.g., Hot work near a breaking containment activity on a hydrocarbon containing equipment. ● Exposure – e.g., radiography, abrasive blasting, etc. that produce harmful exposures to others.

Visually check the XLS equipment and its surroundings for hazards or equipment that may interfere with normal operations and clear any that may be found before continuing. 2. Look over the main frame assembly to verify that the cylinder, pulley assembly and support bars are aligned with the wellhead. If anything seems out of alignment refer back to the installation section. An incorrectly aligned unit will cause premature cylinder, seal, and other possible structural failures. 3. Controller in Auto Cycle mode for XLS units 4. Familiarize yourself with the controller and shutdown procedures before starting the unit. 5. Check for hydraulic leaks 6. Check for loose screws, fittings, hoses, electrical connections. - Stopping the XLS unit - (Non-emergency stop) 1. Press the "Stop and Hold" button on the main controller screen. B. Then press the "Go to Home Position" button. 2. Make sure the Load Hold Valve button is turned off on the OptiMax™ Screen, after the operation manual is completed. 3. Return to the Home screen and press the "Stop Motor" button to turn off the main motor. 4.
