Though it seems like yesterday, it was about ten years ago when Kolton asked me to take him fishing. We did not have a boat, but I loaded some supplies and headed to the city park for our first fishing excursion. We fished for almost 5 hours without a catch. Before we arrived home, Kolton said, “Thank you for taking me fishing! Can we go again tomorrow?" Needless to say, I was shocked that after 5 hours of no results, he was ready to go again. I went home and told Angie how awful the fishing was, but he was begging to keep going. We decided it would be money well spent to buy a small boat so we could try our luck in some lakes and farm ponds we had access to. Little did I know what that was starting. Fast forward to lots of trips to Uncle Darren’s, our Buddy Scott’s, and numerous trips to the White River and Lake Of the Ozarks. Sports keep Kolton very busy, but we were able to squeeze in a trip to Lake of the Woods, Ontario early this month. He was so excited and was able to harvest 4 new species of fish on day one of the trip. Kolton capped it off with a Muskie, one of his dream fish. We never take the opportunities we have for granted and we understand these opportunities are a direct result of the trust our clients have placed in us!
