CHBC members SoCalGas, GKN Hydrogen, and National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) have launched a #hydrogen research project at NREL's Flatirons Campus, demonstrating #solidstate #hydrogenstorage using GKN's advanced technology which stores hydrogen in metal #hydrides, compared to storage in traditional gaseous storage tanks. The project will evaluate its integration with #renewableenergy systems like #microgrids and #fuelcells, supporting #decarbonization and #cleanenergy innovation.
