Your audience is 20X more important than your creative in fundraising. Disagree with me? Let me tell you a story... No matter what we tried, we couldn't move the needle for a partner. We tested a dozen new (to them) ideas that were proven elsewhere. Nothing worked. Nothing moved the needle on performance. We refreshed control campaigns. Still didn't improve anything. I was scratching my head for months trying to figure this out. Then we stumbled onto the issue. Lapsed and minimally engaged names were being added. Even when they didn't meet the criteria we'd set for the campaigns. This happened nearly every time. Because there was a "mail to budgeted qty" mentality we didn't realize. And the result was predictable. Fast forward to today... We're back in market with a refined audience. 🌟 1st campaign easily beat goal. 🌟 2nd campaign also beat goal (at only 2 weeks mature). We didn't change anything but the audience selection. The "who" is WAY more important to your success than the "what". Thanks for coming to my TED Talk today...

Who the heck are you talking to? Let’s face it - everyone is afraid of finding their niche. For small business and nonprofit marketers, this is even more true. Maybe you’ve said this before: “I don’t want to lose customers.” “I have a limited budget and I need to reach as many people as possible.” “But what if someone is interested in working with us, but they see we primarily serve a different niche?” “We don’t want to be exclusive. We want EVERYONE to donate to our work.” I get it, no one wants to leave money on the table by excluding a potentially profitable part of their audience. Unfortunately, this means that you fall into the rut of being generic in your messaging. Ultimately, you frequently fail to create authentic connections or stand out from the content we’re all bombarded with daily. If you are trying to reach “everyone,” you ultimately end up reaching no one. At Fire & Bliss, one of the first things we help our clients do when developing a marketing strategy is to figure out who their ideal audience is and their pain points. This allows them to be more creative, decisive and save money in the long run. The benefits of finding your niche far outweigh the potential cons of being afraid to narrow things down. Remember - ‘No niche is too small if it’s yours.’ - Seth Godin Do you know who you’re talking to? If you do, drop a comment below to inspire someone else on their journey. If you’re not sure, send me a message so we can help you get started. Fire & Bliss Creative helps values-driven businesses and organizations develop communications and marketing strategies that attract the right clients and donors so you can sleep well tonight and continue to grow tomorrow. If you are interested in seeing if we’d be a good fit for helping solve your marketing or communications challenges, send me a message and we can set up a time to talk. #findyourniche #marketingstrategy

The point of optimizing your social media bios is so that people can find you and learn more about you. Here are a few tips to get the most out of your "about section": ✳️ Use keywords that people looking for your industry would be searching for. ✳️ Keep it short and sweet. Include the most important information someone should know about you when looking *️at a glance*️. This should include WHAT you do and WHO you do it for. ✳️ Keep it the same across platforms for brand consistency. You want people to recognize your brand on any network. ✳️ Make it memorable - include info that might help someone connect with you and remember you. For instance: I have 3 kids, 2 rescue dogs, 1 husband and I live on Cape Cod. I was a chocolatier for 10 years before going full-time into digital marketing. I now help small business owners ditch the overwhelm on social media and get more out of their efforts by focusing on overall strategy and taking over their day-to-day tasks on these platforms. #SocialMediaStrategy #SocialMediaTips #smallbusinessowners #nonprofit #nonprofittips #marketingtips #marketing #contentmarketing

It's seasonal ad campaign time of year and this round we are going with #passover2024! Running Google ads especially grant ads and especially grant ads for niche markets can be tough sometimes but the way to succeed is thinking outside of the 🎁 This is one of the reasons our seasonal campaigns do really well. one of our clients has generated 50+ new subscribers to their list and 20% of those made a donation! So what's our method to the madness? 🤠 Think outside the box and be the answer to the problem folks are searching for. 💪 Have a strong funnel. 🎁 Have an offer that is relevant to the ads they clicked on. 👋 Have a strong follow-up sequence that continues the conversation where it left off. 🙋Know your audience. If you want to win at Google and #marketing in general follow these steps and thank me later. Did you find this helpful? Have you been stuck with your grant ads? let's talk! I will drop my calander in the comments.
