When it comes to children's football, the role of a captain is sometimes just given to the 'best player', or maybe the most vocal kid, without too much thought. We know many coaches and teams give it a lot of consideration, and it is a big deal within their team. And that's definitely a good thing. Allowing different children to take on the responsibilities of being a captain in a football team can have numerous benefits for both the individual child and the team as a whole. Returning to Court 🏀 Depending on the injury, court progressions can look different. This is where I disagree that 5v5 is ‘harder’ than playing 2v2, because each scenario has different challenges 1. 2v2 would be more physically intense from a conditioning aspect since the same space needs to be covered by less players. 2. 5v5 would have a higher cognitive load since there are moving parts in the ecosystem. 3. 5v5 would have more variables of movement since there are more players on the court 🔑 when creating court progressions, look at the specific demands on the player and their injury #athletictraining #athletictherapy #athleticperformance #athleticmedicine #strengthandconditioning #sportsperformance #sportsmedicine #sportschiropractic #basketball #basketballperformance #sportscience
