Clean Energy Transition Partnership-CETPartnership 2024 Call CETPartnership 2024 Joint Call will open on 19 September 2024. CET Partnership is launching calls to strengthen the clean energy transition and contribute to the EU's goal of becoming the first climate-neutral continent by 2050. The general terms of the calls are as follows: - Calls are launched once a year, in 2 stages (11 call modules/project titles). - The targeted TRL levels are different for project titles covering different topics and action types within the field of clean energy. - The consortium must consist of partners from at least three different countries (at least two of whom are EU members or Horizon European Associate countries). - It is funded through a national funding mechanism. The Concerted Action EPBD (CA EPBD) addresses the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD). It aims to contribute to the reduction of energy use in European buildings through the exchange of knowledge and best practices in the field of energy efficiency and energy savings between all 27 EU member states plus Norway.

Stavros Koltsios, Research Associate from Centre for Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH) will be a guest at EU_BUILD UP #ExpertTalk. ⚡ Have you heard about ePLANET Joint Agreement? ⚡ In the face of escalating #climatechange, depleting natural resources, and increasing energy demands, the need for a #sustainable and resilient energy system has never been more urgent. 📜 ePLANET Joint Agreement is a collective commitment to transitioning towards a clean, efficient, and inclusive #energy future. This agreement formalises the commitment of local and regional authorities to engage in coordinated #EnergyTransition actions through the ePLANET project’s innovative "clustering governance" approach. By signing the agreement, public authorities pledge to use ePLANET’s digital tools to share harmonised information, enhance decision-making, and ensure consistent implementation of renewable energy initiatives. So far, more than 250 public authorities have signed the ePLANET Joint Agreement 🙌 https://lnkd.in/dZ8XNHhE

The most insightful slide of the deck is slide 6, comparing the two "models", and the evolution from reliability and cost foci to forcing a flawed resource, and overly complicating the "market" to point of lost, timeless principles "Existing Markets Timeless principles of reliability at least cost. But we need a rethink. Start by assuming that “nontraditional” resources are the new normal New Markets Are needed to empower customers to meet their own carbon objectives & mobilize the grid edge with a widerarray of tech-enabled services"

The topic of electric rates and #ratedesign can get pretty technical and wonky, but at its heart, what matters, arguably the most, is how it impacts #people (yes, and #climate, but we can't forget the humans!) Earlier this year, the MA Interagency Rates Working Group (IRWG), in response to some very insightful and effective advocacy, sought additional expertise to provide supplemental work to better address the #equity impacts of electric rate levels and rate changes on different demographic groups, with a focus on vulnerable ratepayers. This week, Destenie Nock, PhD of Peoples Energy Analytics presented on the first set of her recommendations. 💥 See her presentation: https://lnkd.in/e6Khmuad 💥 And recording: https://lnkd.in/echDvC5X What became clear was: 1️⃣ #energyaffordability needs a comprehensive approach and definition - it is not captured by energy burden 2️⃣ Demographics such as race and age can be distinctive determinants of energy use patterns 3️⃣ The power of data and analytics to advance energy affordability and equity (brought to light by the compelling and innovative work Destenie and her team are doing) 4️⃣ With these tools in hand, we don't have any excuses to not be supporting our most vulnerable households during the #energytransition What's next? Dr. Nock's recommendations include methods for incorporating better analytics into our rate impact analyses in MA. Let's make it happen...
