Wow that's wild Apple hasn't added a feature (MFA xfer) that's been standard for Android for so long. I know with Google authenticator at least, you can back up to drive and then restore on new phone.

Tim Golden I just use 1Password for personal 2FA and Keeper Security for business. Both services also support storing passkeys and is arguably more secure than Apple's native solution. I get a new iPhone every year and have not had this problem ever since switching from Authy and Google Authenticator. Also, don't use iCloud to store your 2FA!

No solution, but I agree that MFA things are a band aid solution. I get and agree on the concept, but our execution sucks. We’ll just end up implanting NFC tokens in our arms and call it a day…

Tim Golden Im glad you have USB-C now and Im sorry that Apple hurt you. If you just kept all your passwords on post-it notes this would never have happened.
