Most Companies don’t expect you to agree with their initial offer; they usually leave room for negotiation and they have a SALARY RANGE not a fixed number. Here is a script to use: Thank you for sending the written offer and considering me for the role! I’m incredibly inspired by what [Company Name] is doing, and I genuinely believe I’m a fantastic match for this position. Having said that, the offered salary of $90,000 is a bit below my expected salary range, which is between $95,000 to $110,000. l understand that budgets can be tight and I want to respect that. However, l am confident i can bring significant value to this role given my experience in X, Y. If there’s some flexibility to revisit the salary and bring it closer to my range, I would be thrilled to keep this conversation going. Negotiating salary after getting a job offer - when does it happen and should you go for it? Firstly, you should typically only negotiate salary AFTER an agreement in principle from the hiring manager has been reached. And should you go for it? Yes! Your potential employer has invested a lot of time and money into the negotiation process, so they are likely to want to reach an agreement. Remember - negotiating never makes worthwhile offers worse! YES it's a competitive job market at the moment but don't be afraid to ask for what you're worth. 😊 #recruitment

Unable to get paid what you're worth? I spent weeks preparing for salary negotiations, ensuring I knew my client's worth in the job market. It paid off when we secured a job offer that matched their expectations. After receiving an offer from a reputable company, I knew we had to approach salary negotiations with confidence. Here’s what I did to prepare: ✅ Conducted thorough research on industry salary standards ✅ Analyzed salary data from multiple sources ✅ Networked with industry professionals to gain insights ✅ Evaluated clients skills and experience to determine their market value ✅ Practiced negotiation scenarios to build confidence through role-play Armed with this information, we entered the negotiation phase ready to advocate for their worth. Despite our preparation, the initial offer was below our expectations. I felt a mix of disappointment and determination. We presented our research and articulated our value clearly. After several discussions, the company revised the offer to meet our asking price. The preparation paid off. Salary negotiations can be daunting, but they are crucial for career growth.
