Overworking employees is a perilous path that inevitably leads to losing your top talent. In my role, I make it a priority to support my team and prevent overwork. I've seen firsthand how many top corporate leaders, detached from frontline operations, allow budget constraints to push employees to their breaking points. It's a critical oversight. These leaders haven't experienced the exhaustion of the daily grind firsthand, so they fail to grasp the toll it takes. We must recognize that overworked employees aren't just a short-term problem; they're a long-term risk to productivity, morale, and retention. Let's foster workplaces where employees feel valued, supported, and empowered to thrive. It's not just good for business—it's the right thing to do. #EmployeeWellbeing #Leadership #WorkLifeBalance #EmployeeWellbeing #LeadershipInsights #SupportiveLeadership #EmployeeRetention #CorporateCulture #WorkplaceWellness #EmployeeEngagement #LeadershipAwareness #Leadership #Leadershipcoaching

The pressure on COOs to have "backup" employees might seem pragmatic, but it signals distrust and creates a culture of insecurity. Many business leaders believe that preparing for turnover is a strategic necessity. However, I believe fostering a culture where employees feel valued and irreplaceable can lead to a more productive and fulfilling work environment. Don't build teams where employees feel replaceable. Build teams where everyone knows they matter. #careers #culture #productivity #leadership

I love this: I think it’s a company’s responsibility to look after each employee. Because when you hire someone it means you need them and their value. So you need to make sure you always check on them and help them understand their role to the company’s success. When you have people who think they are replaced tomorrow, they change attitude: they don’t share knowledge, they keep control of what they do and they become difficult to work with. And when people are in this point you already failed to build a culture, a positive environment and your own people will grow against you. Your people are your ambassadors. Unless you are a freaking giant, you don’t deserve to behave this way. If your own people hate it there, why should your clients pay for whatever you have to offer?

I absolutely agree. I would rather have happy loyal employees than feel like I could lose an employee to another company, opportunity, etc. If we are going to be competitve in business, that includes employee retention and building a happy, loyal, driven team that is dedicated to their company and the objectives of the company. In the long run, it is leas costly. One other tid bit, on average, if you lose an emplyee, you also lose your inveatment in time and money. Most companies additionally invest at least one third of an employees payroll into training and on going training and development. That investment walks out the door with your employee and quite likely to one of your competitors.
