🎄✨ The Season of Giving and Sharing ✨🎄 We believe the true spirit of this season goes beyond lights and decorations—it’s about creating a positive impact and helping those in need. With this in mind, we were thrilled to support the Agrupamento Vertical de Escolas Vale da Amoreira by donating computers to enhance education and provide better access to technology. 💻📚 We know that education is one of the most powerful tools to transform lives, and it’s our wish to contribute to a brighter and more inclusive future for everyone. 💡 We hope this gesture inspires more acts of solidarity and highlights the importance of joining forces to make a difference. 🌟

Another 35 children receive hope through a Business Bookfairy 📚🧚♂️ - The counselor shown here 👇🏽 Thank you Gean Van Horn Van Horn and Sargon Eshagh CEO and VP of Marketing at zutBe. for making this possible. Sargon, thank you for personally delivering the books to Fischer Middle School too and supporting The Eastside Education Initiative (EEI). You were one of my first tech leaders at 23 and here we are over 25 years later … giving it back. Beautiful ❤️ Can we get more donors? One classroom at a time, one school at a time … How much? $220 for a classroom set of 35. That’s it 😍 so individuals and companies can all be part of this butterfly effect. Ps: grants ok too 🥰 I want books like this everywhere. Let’s prove that we can build demand backwards - that you the professional, that you a business sees value in HOPE books in schools. So by the time kids are out - we’ve shown them a job pathway option through story. Students need to see us to be us. 4000 books given for FREE to students in a year - for many their first book. We need to scale - if you have a way, reach out. Why so cheap? The cost to you the bookfairy donor is essentially cost but the impact - PRICELESS. ✨I’m aiming for impact✨ Thank you for all your support. Donate here or DM me https://lnkd.in/g2bqNpQ8 This many students get books with a classroom donation 🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋 Also … Need chargers, battery packs from some really cool people, check out ZutBe.com Peace and love everyone ✌🏽❤️ #hope #books #nonprofit #education #motivation #jobs

This was an interesting discussion. Some key takeaways: 1. African giving is embedded in everyday life; 2. It is values driven; 3. We have to own & champion our narrative; 4. It can be difficult to quantify or measure noting that time or knowledge among others are what is given. Truly inspirational webinar, thanks to GivingTuesday & TrustAfrica, that we need to continue.

Did you know? Roughly 33% of school-aged children in low-income countries are out of school, compared to only 3% in high-income countries. Room to Read is changing that. To date, the organization has supported more than 45 million children in historically low-income communities around the world. And they’re making more room for more children! In the coming years, Room to Read will dramatically accelerate the reach of its programming to communities where the need is most urgent, ensuring that children receive a quality education no matter where they are — in classrooms, in refugee camps, in informal learning environments, or at home. This giving season, join me in investing in lasting change by donating to Room to Read: https://bit.ly/3ZeoV7W

In a ground breaking global initiative, Canada is set to become one of the first countries to introduce 'Orgtober' to the school calendar in 2024, spearheading organ donation education and early awareness on an international scale. Orgtober, previously known as October, is poised to enter school classrooms and calendars throughout the nation. While the regular educational curriculum remains unchanged, Orgtober aims to invigorate organ donation education by starting at a younger age, initiating family discussions, celebrating the core values that underlie organ donation (kindness, compassion, and inclusivity), and infusing an element of enjoyment into the process. https://ow.ly/MioB50TLFt2
Move over spooky season, Orgtober is here! — Leave Well | Register to be an organ and tissue donor

Futures Philanthropy: Anticipation for the Common Good" brings together two critical disciplines in one publication: futures and foresight, championed by the Copenhagen Institute for Futures Studies; and philanthropy, represented by Philea and its extensive philanthropic community. It looks at how European philanthropy can apply foresight and futures thinking to live up to its potential of being forward-looking, risk-taking, and innovative, all the while encouraging anticipatory capacities within civil society and communities. The publication is a practical guide for foundation leaders, board members, philanthropy infrastructure practitioners, donors, advisors, philanthropy researchers and civil society professionals on how to navigate the contours of an ever-changing landscape and evaluate current and future risks and opportunities. 0 https://lnkd.in/dUEdVvgg
