Being a trainer’s easy, you just rock up at the agreed time and off you go! I wish… It’s just over two weeks until the first event under the Evening Business Academy umbrella (spaces still available) so I’m now finalising everything. After sorting out the logistics - time, date, venue, refreshments etc. I’ve been taking time out to promote it, particularly with local businesses. Then there’s the challenge of putting as much information and learning into a 90 minute session as I can - without risking overwhelm for participants. Getting the essentials correct is - well - essential. Then there’s sorting out materials and activities, and putting together the workbooks and resource sheets. Finally there’s practising what’s to be presented, sure I’m familiar with the content, but not in this arrangement. So by I kick off the first session on 26 March, I’ll have already clocked up plenty of hours in preparation. Not quite the just rock up and deliver the course assumption some people make.
