I think there are some valuable lessons here that translate well to business life. 1. Speed - Respond fast for bonus points. Everyone wants it yesterday, so do not make them wait. 2. Details - Pick up as much information as possible. It is impressive when even the smallest details are given attention. 3. Momentum - Use previous wins to fuel the next one. Winning creates confidence; harness that energy to go again. 4. Controversy - Our primal minds cannot help but be drawn to controversy. Use it carefully to attract easy attention. 5. Conversion - Make sure you capture all of the value being created through a high amount of attention. Others will siphon off the value you created if given the chance. Putting this out there, in case anyone knows someone who knows someone. For over a year, Ami Kozak Mikey Greenblatt and myself have been putting out J-Sketch comedy videos with the aim of speaking to a specific Jewish audience that hasn’t really been catered too much before in this kind of way. Without tooting our own horn, the videos seem to resonate well with a target demographic. We’re looking to continue producing funny videos for your entertainment since Lord knows the Jewish world needs some humor right now. As you can see from the screenshot below and anecdotally from randomly being recognized at ShopRite, our videos have gotten quite the traction in terms of visibility. And these numbers aren’t even counting how many times the clips get shared on WhatsApp. We are aiming to work with brands or businesses that would want to be sponsors of future videos, mostly to cover our own production costs. These brands would understand that humor with a Jewish flavor is what we do best, and when a video is funny enough, people feel compelled to share it, organically.
