In the newly adapted pure vision setup, Fourier positions 6 RGB cameras around GR-1, enabling the robot to sense the surroundings from all angles, including front, side, and rear views and to generate BEV images for precise identification and tracking. Using BEV images, GR-1 employs transformer models to convert the complex environment into three-dimensional spatial features. The occupancy network then translates data into a three-dimensional occupancy grid, helping GR-1 navigate passable and impassable areas. Our test results demonstrated GR-1's high efficiency and accuracy in detecting vehicles and pedestrians along sidewalks, highlighting its capability for real-time object tracking and environmental mapping while in motion.
