In the age where cars talk to each other, how can you ensure no one else is listening in? After all, the data value chain of a car manufacturer includes entities such as suppliers, retailers, partners, resellers, and so on. How can you keep the data flowing securely among all these entities without any breach of trust? And while you’re at it, how can you adhere to data security compliance standards, boost efficiency, and access a secure global network of partners and data sources? T-Systems has recently been selected as the first vendor to support Gaia-X in verifying and connecting new participants to Catena-X. As an extensible ecosystem, Catena-X provides a secure data space where the players of the automotive industry can collaborate without compromising on data sovereignty. Back from the summer break with a new creativity push! 🏝 ▶ 🚀 One topic that consistently resurfaces at conferences, in customer communications, and in strategy papers is the issue of legacy silo architecture. While everyone aims for customer centricity, siloed infrastructures continue to hinder this goal. 📚 Yesterday, Bank und Markt published an article featuring my thoughts on the importance of establishing cross-departmental workflows, common terminologies, and investing in a centralized architecture. The full article is behind a paywall, but I’m happy to share an excerpt! 🙌 #analytics #fico #centraldecisioning

#vanitymetrics As LR Network X Americas is wrapping up today and reflecting on the conversations I have had at the event I find the below extremely interesting, especially coming from an Jeanie York Virgin Media O2. Are we so focused on the next "G" and all of the capabilities that it brings that we are can't see the forest through the trees? My hypothesis has always been that the majority of enterprise locations are just wanting quality coverage, capacity, data, and voice. And to meet this need the "should" be a menu of supported options that fit the need, use, and cost. Every solution does not need to be a Bentley, when a Toyota may be what is needed. "A recent report from mobile network benchmarking specialist GWS revealed that the UK’s major mobile operators are hitting the ‘sweet spot’, with consumers satisfied with their everyday mobile network speeds ranging between 1-5Mbps. Even more importantly, the report found that speed is not a key driver for people to move networks, with poor signal and blackspots ranking much higher than speed as a reason to change. This poses the question – has the industry focused too much on vanity metrics like speed, much to the detriment of customers across the country?" #networkfx #PRV8voice #mcx #publicsafety #UEsupport #SuperNOVA #privatenetworkenablement https://lnkd.in/g8qgEX2e

Another one of those instances where weak consent mechanisms and insufficient safeguards led to unauthorised access of sensitive information, in this case, customer's real-time location! As long as sensitive data moves, data breach and misuse is bound to happen. Businesses need to take proactive measures via a privacy-by-design approach to data collaboration. Trust in legal and consent based agreements for data collaboration should be augmented with cryptographic guarantees of processing sensitive data.
Lack of privacy measures and customer empowerment in terms of control over data sharing and cross-selling terms, coupled with offloading regulatory obligations to downstream organizations invited over $200M in fines for major wireless carriers. [Source: https://lnkd.in/dwaesJCw ] This incident is one of many that emphasizes the need for a purpose-bound, transparent, and auditable consent mechanism tied with cryptographic guarantees of data processing privacy when it comes to collaboration on sensitive data. We at Silence Laboratories champion and design for the case where data should just not move outside the organization and source and still value creation and transparent monetization are possible. Talk to us about how we can empower enterprises.
