Lauren Vargas and I will begin the exploration of this topic. How do communities deliver value to the organization? What can companies do to enable and leverage collective memories? What's the use of creating a collective memory for the organization? How does a collective memory enable a better narrative? This is a topic of great importance as organizations begin to deploy their narratives and want their people to embrace them.

We’ve had a busy few months! Every year, in October we begin a process very close to our hearts, and absolutely key to our work - the Annual Strategic Review Process for One Future Collective. It is a time of reflection and gathering insights on the year that has been from our team and our community, and making the necessary shifts to ensure we progress toward meeting our goals in the next year. This year, I was lucky to be involved in the process in the capacity of a Senior Leadership Team member. Over the past several months, we have given careful thought to our big wins and our roadblocks in 2023, and whether or not we have been making progress toward our vision of a socially equitable future. The next step was action: how do we plan for our work in 2024? What needs to shift? How will we get closer to achieving our goals? This is a process that every year, allows me to go back to the drawing board and realize why we do the work we do. It reinforces my passion in a socially just world, and we can’t wait to present the BIG plans we have in store for you this year, very soon. Hear more from our founder Vandita on what this process means to us ⬇️ Onwards and upwards — lots more to come from the fantastic team at One Future Collective! #AnnualStrategy #SocialDevelopment #OneFutureCollective #LifeAtOFC
Are you stuck thinking about an annual strategic process that works for your team, organisation, and the communities you work with? In today's #LifeAtOFC, our founder, Vandita Morarka, discusses our annual strategic process, why we have adapted it since our inception, our key milestones, and why we believe this process is best for our organisation and stakeholders. The full video is available on our YouTube page: https://lnkd.in/dRNKmNyb When our founder, Vandita Morarka, founded One Future Collective, we used strategic processes that we had seen work for the development sector. We planned our work in three-, five-, and ten-year increments rather than what we perhaps needed to achieve our impact goals. Over the last few years, we've realised that as a social justice-oriented organisation, we need to plan, adapt, and respond to the needs of our communities and the systems we occupy rather than remain stuck with plans that may not work anymore. 🧩We are proud of having built an adaptive and timely strategic process that ensures participation from all our stakeholders and allows for quick and constant testing and monitoring. We are dedicated to making our strategic process dynamic and sustainable for our work. Do you have any tips based on your own experiences? Share them in the comments below! ⬇️ #OneFutureCollective #nurturingradicalkindness #LifeAtOFC #AnnualStrategy #developmentsector

What distinguishes One Future Collective's approach to social justice is our agility and dynamism. While our long-term plans and vision continue to guide us, a continuous culture of learning through monitoring and evaluation is ingrained in how we work. This culminates in an annual strategic process helps us recalibrate quickly and assess what we need to do to be able to achieve our goals and meet the needs of our community. Watch our CEO, Vandita Morarka break it down succinctly: https://lnkd.in/dcruhCUB

I should be honest. Before I joined the co-op, I had never read an Impact Report. But I also never truly realized how much incredible work the co-op does outside of what I saw on the surface as a member. From reimagining the employee experience, to engaging with communities to fight to protect the outdoors, to the commitment to becoming a fully inclusive, anti-racist, multicultural organization, the 2023 Impact Report is just that — impactful. Huge shoutout to all the teams who put this report together this year, and a massive shoutout to all the people who contributed to the work highlighted in the report! #rei #impactreport
