The divide between developed and developing countries is more than just in affluence. Dr. Mehmood Khan, at the recent Arab Health Exhibition, presented the challenges #PublicHealth have today and highlighted the need to compress the growing gap between lifespan and healthspan - the period we live vs the period we are healthy, regardless of where one lives. Over the 20th century, factors like antibiotics, vaccines, improved food production technologies, and investments in sanitation and public #health all helped dramatically lengthen human lifespan in Western countries and promise to lift the six billion inhabitants of developing countries to look forward to the same, according to World Population Review. Antibiotic overuse, poor sanitation, and weak healthcare systems are creating a breeding ground for drug-resistant bacteria, or superbugs 🦠, in Southeast Asia. This is a global crisis, with AMR causing nearly 5 million deaths annually, and the World Health Organization (WHO) predicting a staggering 10 million deaths by 2050 that also impacts the GDP. With the rise of chronic diseases, the lack of nutrition education, and the need for personalized support, I am dedicated to teaching individuals, corporate organisations and communities about their bodies and how they can use nutrition to prevent diseases, heal from diseases, nourish their bodies and improve their overall health. Helping millions learn more about the healing power in food (especially plant-based food) and opening them up to innate power their bodies have to heal themselves is the focus of this business. With the side effects and limitations that come with only modern medicine, combining more of natural therapy and modern medicine can offer quick healing from diseases. Diseases as we know are inevitable. However, the body is not designed to remain sick. It's designed to heal from sicknesses and diseases if only we let it. This idea will teach people how to heal from diseases without breaking the bank. At the core of my mission is helping people Reduce Healthcare Cost. With this grant, we would kick the ground running by getting technologies that would aid business activities as well as market this service in order for us to reach those who are in dire need of getting their life back. I strongly believe in the healing power of food. Malnutrition is a solvable problem. We need to invest in it.   Despite its proven effectiveness in driving development, nutrition remains chronically underfunded. The World Bank's latest figures paint a stark picture.   We welcome the World Bank's new Investment Framework for Nutrition and urge all partners to support its policy recommendations.    The global economic downturn and competing crises, from humanitarian emergencies to climate change, are straining government budgets and donor resources. Projected GDP growth in sub-Saharan Africa through 2050 won't significantly increase the GDP's health spending portion, IHME Research Assistant Professor Angela Esi Apeagyei (Micah) finds.
