Tokenized Economies Institute’s Post

Tokenized Economies Institute reposted this

We are excited to introduce the Tokenized Economies Institute research paper on DebLeb, a Decentralized Banking Protocol for Lebanon. This initiative addresses Lebanon's unprecedented financial crisis, which has severely undermined trust in traditional banking systems. Leveraging blockchain, the DebLeb Protocol is designed to provide an inclusive, institutional-grade DeFi solution built on robust governance. This  research  is part of Université Paris Dauphine - PSL's Fintech Chair Policy Paper Series and was made possible with the support of esteemed academic institutions: Chaire Fintech Dauphine, ReTech Center at École des Ponts Business School, and the American University of Beirut. We also extend our gratitude to François SPORRER (Regional Economic Office for the Middle East at the French Embassy in Lebanon), Sebastien Fleury and Emilie Eddé (Proparco), Ronnie Hammad (ex-World Bank), and Hady Farah and Franck Lesage (Hiram Finance/Reform Finance) for their insights. Special thanks to Guénolé de Cadoudal (Crédit Agricole CIB) for his invaluable guidance on the #socash protocol integration. This paper exemplifies the collaborative effort to innovate and restore financial stability in Lebanon while setting a precedent for regions facing similar challenges.
