Pleased to share late last year I applied for, and today results have been announced that I had placed #8 in Australia. Best Insurance Brokers in Australia | Elite Brokers | Insurance Business Australia (insurancebusinessmag.com) I applied for the award to give our business further brand recognition and test my results against others who apply.    Much like other awards our business applies for. Whilst this particular award is individual, this is certainly not a 1-person business, what I achieve and we together achieve, comes from our efforts as a team, sure as there is no way in the free world , I can do this by myself nor do I want to About Elite Brokers To develop the annual list of Elite Brokers, Insurance Business uses an objective means of ranking the best-performing insurance brokers in Australia – not just those with the biggest portfolios or the largest number of clients. Each broker was required to send their own information along with details of a contact who could verify those figures. The criteria included number of policies written, total revenue, revenue per policy, new clients, total new client revenue, and revenue per new client. Each broker was ranked in each of these measurements, and the sum of their rankings was calculated to determine their final placement on the list https://lnkd.in/eNT_Txat

Diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) are vital for businesses to thrive, serve all segments of the population and contribute to tackling the inequalities that exist in society.     DEI is crucial for creating more accessible markets. A more diverse industry better reflects the communities it serves, fostering trust and building stronger relationships with clients. When people see themselves and their experiences represented in the insurance industry, it enhances their confidence in its ability to understand and address their needs. It helps ensure products and services better reflect the needs of a company's consumer base.    The global insurance sector is also committed to a more cohesive, diverse and effective workforce as DEI make companies better places to work. More diverse companies are better equipped to attract the best talents and improve employee satisfaction, engagement and decision-making, which in turn could lead to more commercial success, creativity and innovation.    This is the focus of GFIA's Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Working Group led by its co-chairs, Luciana Dall'Agnol, , from CNseg - Confederação Nacional das Seguradoras, and Kylie Macfarlane from the Insurance Council of Australia. The Insurance Information Institute says that in 2023, women accounted for 59.4% of insurance workers, a higher rate than the 46.9% of women employed across the U.S. With 56.9% of women involved in underwriting and 54.9% working as insurance sales agents, women comprise more than half of the underwriters, sales agents and clerks. The number of women in the insurance industry increased by 14% over the last five years.
