Bureaucratization in the Danish public sector presents a paradox: it is simultaneously challenging to implement and essential for the continued success of the Danish social model. By carefully balancing the need for structure and accountability with the equally important requirements of innovation and leadership, Denmark can evolve its public sector to meet the challenges of the 21st century while maintaining its commitment to effective, equitable public service delivery. On a day when the Danish parliament has its opening debate, we try to uncover some of the paradoxes that Danish society faces when it comes to streamlining the public sector. https://lnkd.in/gUXAHsbY #publicsector #publicmanagement

Ceemet - European Tech & Industry Employers does not endorse the interinstitutional declaration on the future of #SocialEurope which was signed on 16 April 2024 during a high-level conference in #LaHulpe. In our view, the declaration is too detailed and contains many social items, such as topics that concern social partners and collective bargaining, equal opportunities, fair working conditions, social protection, and inclusion. The declaration calls for specific actions and legislative proposals on several topics and thus would act as a work programme for the next legislative term. We are convinced that it is solely the role of the European Commission to determine the future social agenda of the EU. Additionally, Ceemet would like to emphasise that the process of the adoption of this declaration does not adhere to the democratic values of the European Union since the declaration was signed just before the European elections. Discussions on any future initiative should have been started in the next legislative term, allowing the newcomers to be consulted. For more information 👉 https://shorturl.at/bwAT2

Over the last years, the EU has produced innovative initiatives to address climate, health and social challenges, such as the #EUGreenDeal, #HealthUnion and #SocialPillar. But how far will those get us if they don't work together? Next week, EU leaders will gather to evaluate progress on Europe's social goals. The meeting is expected to produce the so-called "#LaHulpe Declaration", which will prepare the future social agenda for 2024-2029. The Declaration will also reconfirm the European Pillar of Social Rights as the EU's social policy compass. As the #SocialPillar guides all of EuroHealthNet's work to improve wellbeing and health equity for all people in Europe, we weighed in. Our main recommendation? Establish a framework that integrates #health, social and environmental policies and puts #HealthEquity at the centre of all policymaking. Only then can we tackle current multiple, overlapping and escalating crises, such as the rising burden of non-communicable diseases, social inequalities and the climate emergency. 4moThank you for sharing, Team TolaData! Such great points made in the interview with Matthias Schug, and many of those points resonate directly not only with what I've encountered in my experience but also with my approach to designing data strategies for my clients. One of those points: “Think about impact communication and strategy from the outset, and leverage existing documentation and quality management systems for relevant measurements.” – yes! 🎉
