TolaData’s Post

🥇 Our colleague Malte Höpfner recently served as a juror at the Hertie School's Festival of Ideas! 🏅 This dynamic event showcased students' hard work through a vibrant poster exhibition, where jurors from project partners, including Malte, selected the standout projects. 🏆 Congratulations to Dora Cavalcanti Ehrlich, Yogada Joshi, Imtesal Hussain, Lily Zheng, and Architha Menon at the Hertie School for their exemplary achievement in the Monitoring and Evaluation of Social Projects course, guided by Ruth Ditlmann. We applaud the team’s adept use of TolaData in advancing their digital impact monitoring endeavours for the help and hope Stiftung. 👏 We look forward to their continued advocacy for evidence-based practices in policymaking and the advantages that digital impact monitoring tools offer. A special thank you to PD - Berater der öffentlichen Hand GmbH for supporting this fantastic event.

🍀 During my second semester at the Hertie School, I participated in a course taught by Ruth Ditlmann on Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) of Social Projects. Alongside Yogada Joshi, Imtesal Hussain, Zheng (Joy) L., and Architha Menon, I helped create an M&E framework for the help and hope Stiftung's project on environmental education for children. The help and hope Foundation was an insightful and welcoming partner, and I am glad we both learned so much during these past three months. 📈 After leveraging our skills in M&E application and implementation, as well as exploring the possibilities of TolaData, the talented Yogada Joshi summarized all the impact ladders, indicators, and tools we created into a poster. This poster was part of the Festival of Ideas, an event to launch #HertiePolicyLab, a new initiative from our school. Unfortunately, only Architha Menon and I were able to attend, but we did our best to represent the whole group, who are partly already back in their respective hometowns. 🏆 I am happy to announce that we won the prize for the best poster in our category! I am thankful for the opportunity to apply the methods we learned in a real initiative and to share this with so many brilliant minds. 😍 Looking forward to more opportunities to work with M&E, which is central to innovative and impactful policies and projects.
