Is it time to update YOUR headshot ?  When I coach my clients on their personal brand, I ask them to send me their headshots so we can include it in their personal branding template. One client blew me away with her photos! She looked beautiful and professional, and most importantly, she looked like HERSELF. I was so impressed with the photos that I've now had TWO photography sessions with that same photographer: Helen Tansey ~ Sundari Photography. I had a blast and learned a lot from Helen. Before you book your photoshoot, consider these tips Helen shared with me: 1️⃣ Find a photographer you TRUST. Check out their previous work, and if possible, set up a consultation to make sure you'll be comfortable working with them.  2️⃣ Keep it SIMPLE. The focal point of your headshot should be YOU, so stick with a solid background, and avoid clothing with busy patterns or distracting jewelry. 3️⃣ Let your photographer DIRECT you. Your photographer is a professional who knows how to find the best angles. Skip those YouTube tutorials on how to pose. (No lizard necks and no claw hands! You know what I'm talking about...) Lets talk product photography Taking a picture of a product doesn't have to be complicated, I recommend when you are getting started, just keep it simple. Your initial images should clearly show the product, and perhaps highlight key features In the case of the sun catcher, how it looks with the sunlight shining through it. This client had a particular brand colour, so I painted part of an old wooden panel to match the brand and used it as a feature Finally, taking the sun catcher out in nature and making a simple lifestyle image.   If you are getting started with your own product(s) and need images, do get overwhelmed, use these simple tips to help you   #photographytoptips #productphotography #KeepItSimple

Photoshoot hangover goes both ways. After a day of lunging, squatting, twisting, packing, maneuvering, and shooting, it can get a bit sore. You see, the infamous photographer squat stems from the need to get low low low low to avoid shooting down at your clients (this makes them look small and literally ‘looked down upon’, and what badass business owner wants this?).
