According to a foreign news agency, in an internal memo, Mark Zuckerberg told his staff that he had decided to raise performance standards by firing poor performers. The memo further stated that Zuckerberg said that the company typically "manages out" (i.e., assigns jobs to, or fires) people whose performance does not meet expectations over a one-year period. be given) but this time there is a possibility of layoffs based on performance soon. Meta has said it will cut the same number of jobs this time around 2024, but its target is to achieve 10 percent of the current performance cycle, which means about five percent of current employees will lose their jobs this time. . Mark Zuckerberg said that Meta will provide generous compensation to employees.

Tech layoffs everywhere. Except one company's shocking move. While Meta fires 11,000... And Google cuts 12,000... This tech giant just announced: "We're hiring 1,000 AI salespeople. Immediately." But here's the wild part: Their AI product launched just 14 days ago. And the demand? Absolutely insane. Here's what nobody's talking about: AI replaces jobs? Total lie Customer trust will always beat automation When everyone's scared, they're getting aggressive. When everyone's cutting, they're growing. When everyone's doubting humans, they're betting on them. By 2025, this move will look genius. The companies firing humans for AI will fail. The real money? It's in the human-AI partnership. Not replacement. Most of tech CEOs are dead wrong about AI. And they'll learn it the hard way.

Apple has announced plans to hire 400 people for its new store in Delhi. This raises an interesting question: what drives the need for such a large team, especially when recent product launches haven't introduced significant innovations? It seems like the tech landscape is evolving rapidly, yet we often see layoffs occurring faster than hiring. I'd love to hear your thoughts on the balance between staffing and innovation in today's market. Physical health is the catalyst for a good mental. Many studies support the notion that physical well-being and mental well-being are closely linked. Regular exercise, a balanced diet, and adequate rest can all contribute to better mental health by reducing stress, improving mood, and enhancing overall cognitive function. Why not explore companies/firms who encourage this lifestyle? Check out what Ethan Cohen has to say about it!
Hey Recruiters 👋 On a scale of 1 - chronic back pain, how much has your work schedule impacted your exercise habits and physical health? As an avid gym go-er and victim of stiff office chairs myself, maintaining a consistent workout schedule is absolutely vital. When I worked at a traditional agency, I was constantly in pain from sitting for long hours, and always too exhausted to go to the gym before or after. This only got worse as the months went on. With Oculus Group, LLC, I can now prioritize my physical health and I’m the healthiest i’ve ever been because of it. And the crazy thing about smart phones… they’re kinda like little computers 🙂 I’ve been responding to messages/emails at a 5% incline all morning! 2 birds 🐦 one phone 📱! #recruitment #sales #businessdevelopment #hiring #remote #wfh

During the Meta layoffs, a list was circulating with tips for employees. These ranged from the mundane such as updating mailing addresses, to the time-consuming tasks people often defer like using healthcare benefits. With a nudge from my coworkers, I scheduled a few preventative tests and appointments. To my surprise, I discovered I was born with a congenital heart defect and urgently needed open heart surgery. On paper, I was a perfectly healthy adult with no symptoms of cardiac issues. Yet, I had unknowingly lived my entire life with a dangerous heart condition that was within weeks of becoming fatal. The timing was serendipitous, truly a silver lining of the layoffs. I had surgery with a team of specialists at Texas Children's Hospital, spending almost 12 hrs in the operating room and a week in the ICU. It was the most challenging, humbling, and painful experience. I'm grateful to be alive and feel more resilient than ever. I’m also lucky I had a very ‘fixable’ condition with a healthy outlook for a long life ahead of me. I debated for a long time if/how I wanted to share this. I am proud to be a "heart warrior" and hope my story can inspire others. Thank you to my anonymous #Metamates who wrote those employee tips. Don’t take your health for granted and never skip your doctor appointments! 🫀🏥 Now for why I'm sharing this on LinkedIn -- I'm fully recovered and searching for my next marketing role. I have 10 years of experience leading growth marketing, demand gen, lifecycle, and channel marketing for big tech, Fortune 500 brands, and start-ups. Please reach out about any opportunities that could be a fit. #layoffs #metalayoffs #layoffstory #opentowork #marketerforhire #marketing #jobseeker #heartwarrior #openheartsurgery #achd
