Today, we celebrate the power of secondhand shopping and its incredible impact on our communities and the planet. At Goodwill Industries of San Diego County, we’re proud to #champion the idea that “thrift” is more than just a trend. Every item purchased at Goodwill helps keep usable goods out of our landfills, supports local employment programs, and empowers individuals through education, job training, and employment opportunities. Whether you’re finding unique treasures, updating your wardrobe #sustainably, or donating items you no longer need, your choices make a difference. Here’s how you can take part today: 1️. Shop secondhand at your favorite Goodwill store or online. 2️. Donate items to give them a second life and support your community. 3️. Spread the word about the benefits of thrifting—every small action adds up to big change! Together, we’re Making Good Happen for our planet. . . . #SDGoodwill #MakingGoodHappen #SecondhandSunday #Sustainability #LocalNonProfit

During our Home Staging Consultation, we often discuss the need for editing items to enhance the presentation of your home. It's only fair that we provide solutions for managing these items effectively. If you're wondering about storage space, consider the attic or garage if available. Alternatively, reaching out to family members for temporary storage can be a solution. Many of our clients find off-site storage units or pods to be convenient for storing everything securely in one place. However, it's essential not to pay to store items you no longer need. Consider donating to organizations like the Boys and Girls Club, Habitat for Humanity, local shelters, or selling through platforms like Facebook Marketplace. This not only frees up space but also contributes positively to the community. By offering these solutions, we can ensure a streamlined and stress-free process while maximizing the appeal of your home to potential buyers. #stagingsolutions #offsitestorage #todaysstagingtip #perfectlyplacedforyou

Helping others I feel very blessed to be able to combine business with a personal touch. Hearing feedback from guests who were able to use their time at the beach to rejuvenate and recalibrate brings me immense joy and fulfillment. I also know many successful businesses that may not focus on personal touches but make significant contributions by donating money and time to those in need. I believe most of us are wired to help others when we have the chance, whether through direct interactions or broader contributions. What are your thoughts on this? How do you incorporate helping others into your business or personal life? I've got the perfect spot to Disconnect to Reconnect! #HelpingOthers #CustomerExperience #BeachLife #Rejuvenation #PersonalTouch #BusinessWithPurpose

*Wealth Tip of the Week* 📝 Experience Giving Firsthand It is not “He who has the most things, wins”. It is: “He who has a positive powerful impact on the most people, wins.” -Robin Sharma During this season of abundance and giving back, consider getting into the community and experiencing the emotions and gratitude that donated gifts are providing . Being a part of a gift distribution or serving meals to underprivileged people allows you to witness the true, raw human emotions of gratefulness 🏘️🤝. The easy part is donating money: the harder—but more rewarding part—-is donating your time to be on the front lines and see firsthand the impact you are making. 🌟❤️ #AEinvestments #WealthMindset #WealthBuilding

Is Goodwill all about profits? Let’s get into it. Hey, I’m Sharmon, and I work with social and environmental impact orgs to build stronger brands and solid foundations. Let’s talk about Goodwill. For years, folks have raised an eyebrow at their model—selling donated clothes. But here’s the real deal: those sales? They go right back into funding community programs. It’s not just about thrifting—it’s about creating real change. Check out the full video to see how clearing up misconceptions can level up your brand’s impact. Got questions? Drop ’em in the comments—let’s dive into this together. #SocialImpact #BrandTruths #NonprofitBranding #Goodwill #ThriftingForGood

FROM 76LBS OF FOOD TO 63 MEALS: THE RIPPLE EFFECT OF GIVING BACK As a proud member of the Pickles Home Exteriors team, I’ve learned firsthand that success in sales—and in life—is built on small, consistent wins. Every conversation, every deal, every relationship adds up to something bigger. That’s the same mindset we bring to giving back to our community. Recently, we had the chance to donate 76 lbs of food to the City of Kitchener Foodbank. At first glance, it might not seem like a lot, but it added up to 63 meals for those in need. That’s the power of small efforts creating a huge impact. Just like in sales, where persistence leads to growth, these little acts of kindness ripple out to make a real difference. For me, being able to contribute to a community that’s been so good to us—through the homes we improve and the relationships we build—is incredibly rewarding. To our clients, teammates, and supporters: you make this possible. Every project you trust us with helps us give back and create a stronger, more connected Kitchener-Waterloo. Small wins matter. Whether it’s a single conversation or a simple donation, what’s your next step toward making a bigger impact? #SalesWithPurpose #GivingBack #KitchenerWaterloo #CommunityImpact #LittleWinsBigResults #HomeImprovement #GratitudeInAction
