Just across steps from Rafael Viñoly Architects's Mahler 4 office tower and MVRDV's new Valley multi-family residential, 3XN/GXN has designed this beautiful 15-story office tower. Sustainability is built into the design. Built principally with mass timber, each of the lower floors opens out onto large decks with blossoming flowers to increase pollinators. The upper floors include portable elements to enable tenants to alter their spaces easily without major tenant improvements. This really should be the standard for urban architecture. The transformation of Zuidas from a nascent business district in the 1980s to a vibrant architectural marvel today is truly remarkable. Once envisioned as the financial heart of Amsterdam, Zuidas has fully blossomed into a dynamic urban landscape, seamlessly blending cutting-edge design with functional elegance. This district now stands as a testament to visionary planning and architectural innovation, embodying the spirit of progress and modernity.
