Childhood Bereavement Network estimates that 26,900 parents pass away each year in the UK, leaving approximately 46,300 dependent children aged between 0-17. This staggering statistic demonstrates the importance of supporting and educating children about loss, ensuring they have effective coping mechanisms to navigate their grief journey. Loss of appetite, nightmares, headaches and sleeping problems are just a few signs of grief within children and can often be missed. This is why we're proud supporters of National Association Of Funeral Directors campaign to add bereavement to the national curriculum for children. Not only is it important children have bereavement support at their fingertips, but it is also important they are educated on the stages of grief and vital coping techniques. If you would like to help us and other industry organisations, make a real difference, follow the link in our comments section and add your vote. #GriefSupport #NationalCurriculum #Bereavement
