Toray will install a pilot facility for its all-carbon CO2 separation membrane at its Shiga Plant. We will collaborate with biogas and natural gas production developers, related engineering manufacturers, and other external partners to validate the results, with a view to putting CO2 separation membrane elements to practical use in fiscal year 2026. https://lnkd.in/gmKGcHUp #toray #technology #carbonfiber #membrane #CO2 #CCS #CCU #CCUS #naturalgas #biogas

💡 Today's Eesti Päevaleht has thoroughly analyzed how prepared we are in Estonia for the transition to renewable energy and what are the different scenarios. Sunly is working towards covering as wide a spectrum as possible from energy production to ensuring consumption. Among other things, we see that in Estonia, we need to consider the electrification of existing heating sources. Peeter Raudsik, Sunly's Head of Regulatory Affairs, believes that the current price of district heating will decrease for consumers in the future through electrification and help reduce the sector's carbon emissions. "Using heat pumps, in turn, reduces heat losses related to district heating, which in older grids can be up to 30%," Raudsik adds. Read more (in Estonian) ⬇

I'm excited to present Rystad Energy's latest on the thermal heavy oil space at the Canadian Heavy Oil Association's CONNECTS conference this year. #Alberta thermal projects continue to achieve new output records as operators enhance brownfield drilling strategies while also allocating capital to new well pads in lesser developed lease areas. A number of greenfield #SAGD projects have likewise been mentioned with increasing frequency, raising the question of whether there could be more running room as the sector looks towards the 2030s. In addition to an update on thermal well productivity and project status, we'll take a look at some of the lingering policy uncertainties facing Canada's thermal oil space in the years ahead. If you're in #Calgary on November 7, please get your ticket to CONNECTS 2024: Forging our Future soon! Date: November 7, 2024 Time: 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM MT Location: Hudson at 200 8 Ave SW Link: https://lnkd.in/e8FNHWFY #CHOACONNECTS #ForgingOurFuture #oilgas #Sustainable

Hannes Tuohiniitty from the finnish bioenergy assiciation wrote an article about our syngas/biochar demonstration unit. The link opens once, but is behind a paywall if wanting to return to it. The article is in finnish. In the the first part our technology is presented. In the end of the article there is some general information about the differences between syngas, woodgas and pyrolysis gas. We can produce all of these, but the nitrogen free synthesis gas is best! https://lnkd.in/dC2M2E_2
