At Touchmark, we like to celebrate team members and share "WOW Stories." These stories are specific examples of an interaction or experience that shows the incredible lengths a team member has taken to solve a unique problem, delight or go out of their way, and typical job responsibilities in service of others. Examples can include planning a milestone celebration, after-hours help, volunteering extra help during a crisis or inclement weather, visiting someone in need off-campus, celebrating a legacy or life in a special way, and so on. Today's WOW Story comes from Touchmark at Emerald Lake in McKinney, Texas. A new resident at Touchmark at Emerald Lake, John, reported to the front desk that his freezer was not working, causing his food to thaw out. Housekeeping Manager Daniel Krones was one of the first to respond and confirm that the freezer had stopped working, causing the items to spoil. As our Building Services Technician Carlos Ulloa worked to swap refrigerators quickly, Daniel thoughtfully took pictures of all the food items that had been ruined. He then made time to go to the same grocery store personally and retrieve matching items to bring back to the resident. Unfortunately, one item was unavailable, but Dan worked with the store to determine when it was expected and then returned on a different day to pick it up. The resident was very impressed with the level of service and commented on how this validated his decision to make Touchmark his home. Dan, thank you for the attention to detail. #SeniorLiving #RetirementCommunity #Touchmark
