What Is A 55+ Community & What Are Some Benefits? A 55+ community is an established active adult living area that has at least one resident living on each property over the age of 55. These retirement communities are designed with a target market over the age of 55 in mind, from amenities to location. The types of homes in 55+ communities are typically smaller, and you’ll often see them in areas with apartments, condos and townhouses. These smaller-sized units are a great way to downsize your life and start a new chapter. With 55+ communities, they’re able to offer residents a sense of belonging and community. You’re able to connect with neighbors of similar ages and continue to enjoy your retirement years in a safe and peaceful environment. Some of the benefits of living in a 55+ community include : ✅Cheaper Cost Of Living ✅ Community Location ✅ Enhanced Safety And Security ✅ Low Property Taxes ✅ Amenities And Low-Maintenance Considering a move to a 55+ community? As a Certified Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES) servicing Southern California, I would be happy to assist you in search of the perfect community to call home. #sres #seniorrealestatespecialist #seniorliving #activeadultcommunity #southerncalifornia #55pluscommunity #kwestatesbyjasmine🏡

The provision of later-living housing is in urgent need of reform. Our latest research has found that almost a third of over 65s want to move to better-connected areas in the future, with almost five million baby boomers set to move back to towns and cities by 2033. At RVG, we’re calling on the government’s Older People’s Housing Taskforce, local councils and the wider industry to help prepare the sector for growth and the avalanche of demand that is charging towards us.“We need action to turbo charge delivery of health, housing and social care strategies for older people” - Will Bax Read more about what Will has to say here: https://lnkd.in/eVS9kuZh
Thank you Inside Housing for inviting me to pen my thoughts on the housing sector, it’s challenges and how we can unlock a healthier future for everyone. The Government’s Taskforce for Older People’s Housing reports its recommendations over the next couple of months. I hope they’ve been listening… it’s time for change.
