UNDERSTANDING ONES SELF I am still young in age, but I have lived a lot of life. In that life I’ve discovered what I need mentally. I need vast landscapes. I need quiet. I need nature. I have had an affinity for Wilderness. I’ve grown to dislike even places as beautiful as Zion, parts of Yellowstone, and Yosemite because they’ve turned them into Disneyland. I do not want to walk the paved path with handrails; though I’m thankful they’re present to allow access for those who would have a challenging time without them. I’ve slept on the ground now, all over the world. That’s a privilege, though it has it’s negative effects. The forests of the western United States just draw me in with no necessary explanation. Nature in itself has been my therapy for my entire life. Growing up on 5 acres with a pond, I would walk down the hill in our pasture and sit for hours under the old oak tree we had. It healed me then, and continues to today. The beauty of watching the dark turn to light and the effect it has on the landscape is something everyone should experience and feel. I watched 3 deer, a fox, numerous birds as I sat on the porch for a while at a friends house in western North Dakota. This landscape is different from what I would traditionally be drawn to. However, this landscape speaks to me in a different way. This landscape requires a strong person. It’s vast, it’s dry, it’s -30 in the dead of winter and 100 in heat of summer. This landscape requires a level of respect to survive. That’s what we should all understand, in order for us to survive; the landscape must survive. Get outside, pick up trash, watch the animals, pick up more trash-there’s rarely a shortage. Call a local organization to see how you can give back. We can’t just take and not appreciate what she gives and expect her to keep giving. #healingthroughnature #conservation #wilderness #getoutside #packyourtrash #dontbealitterbug #treadlightly #veteransoutside #mentalhealth #therapy

Perhaps you’ve dreamed of owning a home near water, but never really considered all the advantages in doing so? 1] Water is known to help people relax, which is why living on the water can help ease stress. Look onto the water, and enjoy the magnificent view that can’t be enjoyed anywhere else. Sit out on your deck and watch the sun setting over the horizon to help you feel calm and relaxed before bedtime. 2] The fact that you don’t have rear neighbors behind you, means you’ll enjoy more privacy. 3] All animals need water, which is why you are more likely to spot different types of wildlife near by. 4]What better place to host a cookout, family reunion, or other get-togethers than at your waterfront home? Your guests are more likely to enjoy themselves when they are surrounded by remarkable scenery and afforded the opportunity to participate in fun activities hosted by you. 5] When it comes time to sell your home, chances are you won’t have any trouble finding someone to make an offer. Waterfront properties are highly desirable. #waterfrontliving #harvestmeadows #khovnanianhomeohiodivision #letsgetyoumoving #whenyoulovewhatyoudo
