Challenging results of the Boston Scientific Acurate IDE trial in #TAVR presented at #TCT2024 with #ACURATEneo2. However, when using optimal implantation techniques @Hartcentrum AZ Delta the valve performes very good. Acurate Neo2 S implant in small anatomy, before postdil no PVL, <10mm gradient but underexpanded frame (taller than wide), easily postdilated with same 20mm predil ballon with great result and no gradient. I am going to add a preamble and a conclusion… If you have ideas for a script for those please chime in. Target demographic are two groups. Firstly, those individuals that already have a hip, knee, shoulder replacement, or spinal implants and therefore are at risk for cobalturia and cobaltism. Secondly, those individuals considering hip, knee, or shoulder replacement or spinal fusion or disk replacement that need to know to request that their surgeons do not implant any cobalt-chromium implant. Hope to come up with a good script this week and tape the introduction and conclusion end week. You can help! First- The intro and finale need to encourage those folks with joint replacements or spinal implants to consider asking their primary medical provider to order a urine-cobalt levels. Second- Those folks considering a joint replacement need to demand that their surgeon not implant any cobalt-chromium joint or spinal implant. Please tag on your script suggestions. THANKS! DrT on
