Hello everybody, my name is Minty. I am the Managing Director of GM Media and a proud member of Townsville Enterprise. Three years ago when I stepped out of radio to start my own business as a sole trader, I knew I needed to support an organisation that I've been a part of for a long time, and that was Townsville Enterprise. What Townsville Enterprise gives me is the opportunity to network, to connect, to be a part of a bigger group of people all working for a bigger cause and that is supporting our fantastic region. Of Townsville North Queensland, whether it's through the member mixes, our forums or education sessions, it's a great way to meet people and network for my business on behalf of everybody. It's been an incredible partnership and I know it's just not me. There are many other small businesses, sole traders who get a lot out of it. So let's go and find out some of those great stories. My name is Lisa. I'm owner operator of Big Momma's sailing. This is Big Mama in the background. We operate from the Townsville Magnetic Island. Region so we look after our locals as well as visitors to the area. We focused on doing sunset sales, half day sales, full day sales, private charters, whatever anyone wants to do. We pretty much work around our guests and we offer a really beautiful, memorable experience. We love this region. We absolutely adore towns where we love the beautiful weather. Our little spot, our little location that we all work and operate and we live is extremely special. We live in the best part of the world. My name is Aaron Rennets, I am the founder of Tan Lines. It's still a tan lines are stilling is making vodka, gin and pink gin trying to showcase some amazing Australian botanicals. The pink gin as locally grown rosella flowers in it, which is where the color and the flavor comes from. Something very uniquely North Queensland and Townsville and every single bottle. We started here in Townsville moving 2 Townsville from the US found the Townsville had some some great opportunities here and amazing place. A window out just outside the distillery was one of the reasons we moved here. Has been a fantastic place to start. The people here are very supportive. Love new ideas, love new things that are coming to Townsville. OI joined Townsville Enterprise early on with the business because they had a lot of opportunities to network with industry leaders and industry members. Being a member of Townsville Enterprise, have been invited to Parliament several times and got the chance to meet a lot of the policymakers that affect my industry. Also affect the industry here in Townsville. Also been invited to be a showcase for them to show. What we're doing here in Townsville, why it's so great, and to be representative for Townsville just just for being a member has been a fantastic opportunity for me. Hi, I'm Rosalyn Bud from Bud Photography. I've been in business for almost 30 years, primarily working in the commercial and industrial photography space. Previously we lived in Mount Isa and have been back in Townsville here now for almost 10 years. I do a lot of commercial photography, anything from headshots. To interiors and a lot of industrial work. Another aspect of her business is aerial photography. That's probably my favorite bit would be the aerial photography. A huge part of my business now has become time lapse photography. So businesses are understanding that it be can be a great project management tool. So there's a lot of variety in what I do. I've been a member of TELL for almost 10 years now. I think it's an absolutely essential part of my business to be able to keep up with what's going on in the industries. Townsville Enterprise are the voice of our region. They are working hard on the on a big scale to be able to be advocates for our region. As a business. I really appreciate the work that Townsville Enterprise does for our city and our region. Well, there you have it. Some great stories of local successful businesses who aren't always 100 employees in great. The office is and I guess I'm one of those with support of Townsville Enterprise, I've been able to grow my business and it's doing so well. I really appreciate the support.
