Episode four, "Anthony DeSanti, Network Sports Producer," of the podcast by College of Charleston's very own Tom Martin is definitely one worth listening to!
Things I learned from this podcast episode:
1. Reach out to potential mentors and ask for advice, not a job!
2. Write more letters! They are more captivating than emails.
3. Doing things differently will open doors for you.
I would recommend this episode to any student who is like me and is in search of more mentors in their life!
(The podcast is called Mindful Mentoring with Tom Martin and is available on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.)
If you’re feeling stuck, you’re not alone. Recent research shows that the majority of us are feeling stuck in at least one area of our lives. It’s frustrating and uncomfortable and can be hard to get past.
I listen to a lot of podcasts on my morning runs and today’s gave me great advice for getting unstuck.
Mel Robbins conversation with Dr. Adam Alter, a professor at the NYU Stern School of Business and a The New York Times best seller, shares a lot of actionable advice. One helpful tip is completing a Friction Audit (tune to 11:13).
Time well spent for any of us who want to get unstuck.

Consultants, on one podcast episode, I have a very special guest who’s close to my heart: my Dad, who ran a small business for 30 years. Listen: https://lnkd.in/eyFi6Hzg
He ran a successful private practice for 30 years.
He sold his business to a huge company… and had to wrestle it back.
I’ve learned so much from him that I’ve brought into my business, and that I share with my clients.
And I’ve known him for, like, my entire life.
This week, my podcast guest is… my Dad, Bob Neaderthal.
My Dad ran an independent medical practice for 30 years, and in this episode, I’m chatting with him about how he ran his business, the lessons I learned… and maybe some embarrassing stuff about me too. 😀
Listen to Episode 62: Lessons from a 30-year small business, with Bob Neaderthal on the Smart Gets Paid podcast, on Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen to podcasts.
In this episode, you'll hear
🎧 What watching my Dad run his business taught me about running my own
🎧 The decision he made that taught me to not take just any client that comes your way
🎧 The story his longtime employees tell about him that’s a total face-palm
🎧 Why I almost didn’t publish this episode
