My family grew up ballin on a budget. There was not a time I remembered buying full-priced clothes. We always hit up the sales racks, which is sometimes devastating to a 13-year-old who really wants the new BKE jeans (IYKYK). It wasn't until adulthood that I was thankful to have learned this skill set. I will always boast if my clothes were on sale, thrifted, or second-hand, and you best believe I will tell you exactly where I found it and probably the price (Sorry, not sorry)! Because of this I wanted to share some of my favorite places to resource clothes, in case you or someone you know is needing a frugal method for updating their wardrobe: -Clothes Mentor -Uptown Cheapskate -Good Will -Salvation Army -Local Charity Shops (Will depend on location) -Friends Closets/My closet :) Feel free to share this with your network and if you or a connection have questions or need tips on how to find good items and additional resources I am more than happy to help! #thrift #dresscode #beyou #sustainability

🎉 This Friday : Ugly Christmas Sweater Day 2024 ! 🎉 It’s the one day of the year when fashion takes a back seat, and the tackiest, sparkliest, most outrageous sweaters steal the spotlight. 🧶 Did you know ? This quirky tradition started as a joke in the 1980s but has grown into a worldwide celebration of creativity, humor, and giving back. Many use this day to raise funds for great causes, proving that even bad fashion can do good ! So here’s your mission : ➡️ Dust off that sweater that’s too loud for any other occasion. ➡️ Layer on the tinsel, blinking lights, and pom-poms—subtlety is the enemy ! ➡️ Snap a photo and share the fun with your friends, family, and team. → Bonus idea : Host an Ugly Sweater competition at work or with patients and vote on categories like “Most Over-the-Top” or “Coziest Disaster.” 📸 Don’t forget to tag us and use #EyeWishYouAMerryChristmas2024 to spread the cheer. Because let’s face it : the uglier the sweater, the brighter the holiday spirit. What’s the worst (or best?) sweater you’ve seen? Drop your stories below ! 👇 PS: The countdown to Friday is on—better start planning your outfit ! #EyeWishYouAMerryChristmas2024

Are there any down sides of working with me? Don’t be daft! 😆 Alright….maybe one… You might have to buy some new clothes! Clients are always telling me they’ve had to invest in new clothes. Holiday clothes when off to the sun, trousers for work…. One lovely client even had to buy a new black tie suit after attending a posh event where he had to keep his trousers up with safety pins! 😆 And of course, lots of new belts! 👊 I LOVE hearing these stories - more rewarding to me than the number on the scales. Clients looking and feeling great… And almost certainly adding healthy years to their lives. 👊 So men, if you’re looking to drop a few pounds… And having to buy a few new clothes doesn’t put you off working with me… Why don’t you drop me a DM. Isn't it time you did your bit for the local charity shops! 😄 👇just one of the piles of clothes a client got rid of because it was all too baggy! 👊 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 🙋🏼♀️ I’m Jane. 📣 I simplify the process of permanent weight loss for busy professional men. 👊 Improving, not restricting, your diet! People like to ask me where I learned how to start or run a business... Yes, going to graduate school at The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business taught me a lot 💡 ... but starting a nonprofit at the age of 11 with limited (or no) funds teaches you lessons you'll never forget. 💗 This year marks the 31st Christmas for my nonprofit, Grandma's Gifts Inc., and we are supporting 31 children in Appalachia for the holidays. 👉 At this point 10 kids still need sponsors or to be shopped for. You can see their wish lists here: https://lnkd.in/di7h-prM For 31 years people have shared with me their surprise as to what these Christmas lists look like. No gaming consoles. No Apple watches. No Jordans. These kids have asked Santa for toothbrushes and combs (yes - I'm serious), shoes, socks, deodorant and bath soap, blankets, and coats. ⁉️ Surprised? You're not alone. Things we see as necessities and just pick up from the store or order off #Amazon, are items these children (who live in Ohio) have on their Christmas lists. 🧠 Maybe you're thinking, money is tight for me this year, but I may want to help? But how do I help?? ❤️ Quick answer: Make a $20 donation. You can do it via PayPal here: https://lnkd.in/daF4XikH I will then use your donation to buy gifts for the last 10 kids on the list. What can💸 $20 dollars really buy? Two pairs of jeans 👖👖, or a warm coat 🧥 from #Costco, or a pair of shoes 👟, or three pillows, or even 20 toothbrushes 🪥 from #Kroger! This #GivingTuesday there are many great causes looking for your support. Please consider helping my all-volunteer run organization, Grandma's Gifts, support 31 Appalachian Ohio kids in need. Your $20 can go a long way! Donate Securely: https://lnkd.in/daF4XikH

One of my 101 goals is to not only 'heal my relationship with food and movement', but to learn and embrace body positivity. This afternoon I decided to do another round of purging t-shirts from my closet--and I have about two dozen or so, that I'll either donate or possibly turn into a quilt. Since I'm also trying to clear out my storage unit...I'm getting boxes of 'clothes' back (since I used clothing as packing material when I moved home)--and they've all been in the storage unit for quite awhile. I'm acknowledging that I've gained weight back over the past few years (weight I'd lost over a decade before)...and that any shorts/capris that I get out of storage won't fit. I can try them on (and possibly be surprised), but they don't fit--they go into the donation bag. A goal is that by mid-fall I'll have pared down my t-shirts & tank tops to hopefully about a dozen or so each...and then I'll tackle the sweatshirt hoodies and sweaters during the winter months. A minimal wardrobe is also a goal within my 101 goals in 1001 days...hopefully I can hit that goal before the 1001 days are up. #selfawareness #decluttering #purgingclothes #minimalwardrobeseasonbyseason #bodyacceptance #bodypositivity #goals

Every day, our feet take a beating. Imagine running barefoot on sharp rocks, uneven ground, and scorching earth just to play the game you love. This is the reality for the Eco-warriors, who are passionate about football but don’t have the proper footwear to protect their feet. Their love for the sport outweighs the pain and risks they endure, but should it have to? At Girl Power USA, we believe every child deserves to experience the joy of playing safely. That’s why we are working to provide proper shoes for these young football enthusiasts this Christmas. A single pair of shoes doesn’t just protect their feet—it gives them the confidence to run freely, the safety to explore their potential, and the comfort to focus on what truly matters: having fun and building skills for the future. This holiday season, you have the power to make a real difference. For just $10, you can be why a child smiles as they lace up their first pair of soccer shoes. You can be why they step onto the field without fear of pain or injury. Let’s make this Christmas special for the Eco-warriors. Join us by donating today at https://lnkd.in/dC27SHQc. Together, we can create a season of giving, hope, and positive change—one pair of shoes at a time. #ChristmasGiving #GirlPowerUSA #ChildSafety #EveryChildMatters #MakeADifference #HumanitarianAid #Uganda
