For #WorldStatisticsDay, we share this important statistic from our last impact report. While we feel an immense sense of pride in these numbers, our impact cannot be communicated with numbers alone. You need to feel the grateful handshakes and watch the genuine smiles grow across the faces of our resilient Veterans. You need to see the tears in the eyes of a Veteran and their family when you hand them the keys to their new apartment. You need to experience the long hours and late nights that our amazing team puts in to make our mission a reality. Our work is not about adding zeros to statistics- it’s about the Veterans. It’s about those moments, big and small, that illustrate our contributions to people’s lives. If you would like to support our mission of helping Veterans experiencing homelessness or crisis, please consider donating on our website: nationsfinest.org/donate #NationsFinest #OurImpact #SupportVeterans #StatisticsDay #Veterans #Nonprofit #Donate #SocialWork #GIveBack #Veteran

Housing - A Basic Human Right: It’s easy to dismiss those experiencing homelessness as outcasts, often thinking, “Just go get a job,” without acknowledging the complex circumstances many face. In a society heavily reliant on credit, many individuals cannot secure housing simply because of poor credit—a barrier stemming from a lack of financial literacy, a skill not everyone is taught. Managing money, building credit, and navigating financial systems are relatively modern concepts and can feel foreign, especially when compared to societies where credit is not the primary pathway to housing, such as in parts of Africa or other regions with different economic systems. Moreover, mental health struggles add another layer of difficulty. Some individuals cannot maintain stable housing due to challenges with mental health, yet Western society often expects everyone to achieve perfect mental health, an excellent credit score, and impeccable money management to be deemed “acceptable.” This expectation is far removed from the reality of the human condition, where many factors, often beyond one’s control, impact stability. This is why organizations like St. Joseph Center are vital. They help people experiencing homelessness—families, individuals, and children—transition from the streets into housing. Housing is not a privilege; it’s a basic human right. This holiday season, regardless of political views, consider donating to the St. Joseph Center. They are making an undeniable difference in the lives of many, proving that we are all interconnected. What affects one human being affects us all. By supporting organizations like this, we not only provide shelter but also empower individuals to thrive, dream, and contribute to a stronger economy. Together, we can make a significant impact on our society. When people’s basic needs, like housing, are met, the entire community benefits. Together, let’s support the mission to end homelessness and create a society where everyone has the opportunity to live with dignity, a fundamental right that we all deserve. Let's show our empathy and compassion by supporting this cause.
🎂✨ Celebrating Jimmy Kimmel today! In honor of his birthday, he and Molly McNearney are generously matching $50,000 in donations to support families in need through St. Joseph Center! We are grateful for Jimmy and Molly, for their ongoing support! ❤️ Double your impact to help families in need here: https://lnkd.in/gjHsmAs6

For many families, living paycheck to paycheck and constantly facing the uncertainty of unexpected emergencies is their normal. But what if we all took a closer look and asked ourselves how we can make a difference by doing just one small thing? Imagine the impact we could have on our neighbors, family members, friends, and colleagues. What if that one small thing we all did was coming together to strengthen the safety net resources provided by nonprofits? Whether it's making a small donation or volunteering our time, these acts of unity can make a world of difference. You'd be amazed at how one small gesture can prevent a potential spiral and set the stage for a NEW normal in people's lives. By leaning in closer and providing collective support, we can open the door to a NEXT normal, where individuals and families have access to the resources and support they need to thrive. Let's join forces and create a better future for everyone, one small act of kindness at a time. Unite with Us at United Way of Greater St. Louis #Donate #volunteer #helpingpeople

Did you know that we rely on donations to help support the work we do? Your dollars can make a huge difference in making an independent and fulfilled life possible for San Diego’s blind and vision-impaired community. Help us support the blind or visually impaired who need us more than ever by making a donation >> https://bit.ly/46EARRx We’re committed to empowering individuals who are blind or visually impaired with opportunities to seek independence. For those who are blind or visually impaired, it takes a lot of adjustment just to manage daily tasks now. How would you cook meals for yourself without sight? Could you cross the street by yourself without sight? Could you use a computer without sight? Please consider making a donation to the San Diego Center for the Blind! Image Description: A close-up of a woman with a big smile in front of a blue background. Overlaid text reads “See how I can be independent ...
